Ashton Taft
Assistant Coach
Taft was named graduate coach for the Fort Wayne womens golf team following her four-year career with the Mastodons. During her time on the course at Fort Wayne , Taft cemented her named in the Mastodon record book, including shooting the all-time lowest 36- and 54-hole scores. Taft was a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar. Additionally, she was selected to the Summit League Academic All-League team in 2013-14. As a junior, Taft earned Summit League Championship All-Tournament team honors, finishing fourth overall, the best finish by any Mastodon golfer in program history.

Matt Zedrick
Assistant Coach
Zedrick was named the Fort Wayne women's golf head coach in August of 2015. Zedrick spent 2014-15 as the men's golf head coach at Garden City Community College (GCCC). Zedrick led the Broncbusters' to their best finish at the NJCAA District III Championship, fifth, since the program was reinstated in 2011. Zedrick guided an individual to a top-10 finish at the tournament and advancing to the NJCAA National Championship. His squad placed fourth in the Jayhawk Conference and had an individual finish third overall, while having a student-athlete earn First Team All-Conference honor, along with an Honorable Mention honoree. Originally from Danville, Illinois, Zedrick found his way to GCCC after spending two and half years at Marshall. While there, Zedrick was an assistant coach for the women's program before being added as an assistant for the men's squad in January of 2014. During his time with the Thundering Herd, Zedrick coached three Conference USA Golfers of the Week. In two seasons, he guided two individuals to medalist honors and a team tournament title. Zedrick also coached an All-Conference USA Freshmen Team honoree and an Academic All-Conference USA member. During the summer for 2013, Zedrick was selected for a United States Golf Association P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship Program with the West Virginia Golf Association. Prior to Marshall, Zedrick spent time as the head coach of the First Tee of Greater Miami Valley Golf in Dayton, Ohio. In addition to his work with the First Tee program, he also served as a tournament associate for the Miami Valley Golf Association where he assisted in tournament operations. Zedrick has served in a variety of positions within the Marshall, Northern Illinois, and Illinois State athletic departments. His background includes working with compliance, sports performance, and strength and conditioning offices. On the course, his golf experience and accomplishments includes a win in the 2012 Harrison Park Open, a pair of second place finishes at the 2012 Dayton City Stroke Play Championship and the Indiana PGA Pro-Am, along with placing seventh during the 2011 Indiana PGA Southern Open. Zedrick received a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Illinois State in 2010 and received his master's degree in adult education from Marshall in 2014. His brother Zac Zedrick is currently the head men's golf coach at Miami (OH).
