Under Barwin, the Triton golfers have continued to re-write the record books. Iowa Central has been represented at the NJCAA National Tournament every year under Barwin. In six seasons the Tritons have had 26 individual national qualifiers and the mens and womens teams have each qualified their respective national tournament. The women qualified for the national tournament in 2012 and finished 15th. We have a great team culture here, said Barwin. The players compete and support each other as well as represent Iowa Central the right way. They hold high standards for our program. Barwin also helped negotiate a partnership between Iowa Central and the Fort Dodge Country Club. The Tritons utilize the beautiful 18-hole golf course, private practice area, and driving range throughout the fall and spring seasons. Barwin is no stranger to successful athletic programs at Iowa Central. Before taking over golf, Barwin helped launch the Triton track and field program.
