Ithaca College Men's Tennis

Tom Rishcoff was hired as the head coach of both the Ithaca College men's and women's tennis programs on July 10, 2023. He transitioned to leading just the men's program prior to the 2024-25 season and completed his fourth season this past spring. Ithaca reached the Liberty League Semifinals in 2025-26 after an 11-8 regular season and a 5-3 mark within Liberty League play. During his first year with the Bombers, Rishcoff led both programs to sixth-place finishes, which earned berths into the Liberty League tournament. It marked the first-time since the 2018-19 season that the men's team appeared in the postseason. He would lead the men's team to a 6-10 overall record and 4-4 in Liberty League play during the 2024-25 season. First year Ivan Kisic was named to the Second Team All-Liberty League, while sophomore Emiliano Pedrero earned Honorable Mention recognition. Rishcoff joined IC after a stint as the assistant women's tennis coach at Middlebury College during the 2022-23 season. He helped guide the Middlebury women's tennis team to a 17-4 record where they made their sixth-straight appearance in the NCAA Semifinals. A 2017 graduate of Bridgewater College, Rishcoff has been working as a collegiate coach since obtaining his bachelor's degree. His first stop was at Virginia Wesleyan as an assistant coach where he coached all 11 All-ODAC team selections and the men's team received the 2018 coaching staff of the year award. He then spent a pair of seasons as the assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Hamilton College where he also served as the interim head men's coach during the 2021-22 season, which saw the Continentals finish with a 7-10 overall record including a 6-3 triumph over Ithaca. As a student-athlete, Rishcoff compiled a singles record of 38-21 and was 47-20 in doubles play. He was a team captain for Bridgewater and was an All-ODAC Second Team honoree in singles as a junior and senior as well as made the All-Conference team for doubles three times including First Team in 2014 and 2015. 7/29/2026

Carl Simna was hired as the assistant coach for the Ithaca men's tennis program prior to the start of the 2023-24 season. He brings over seven years of coaching experience in school, club, public, and at the camp setting. He specializes in developing tennis players into strong, passionate competitors that reach their performance potential. Simna earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies: conservation and ecology from The University of Toledo. 10/16/23
