Head Coach
Martin is in his sixth season as the head coach of the Philadelphia University golf program. The Rams enjoyed tremendous success during the 2013-14 campaign. Philadelphia won the Immaculata Invitational and two tri-matches. Joseph Parker became the first golfer to participate in the NCAA Regional Tournament, having qualified as an individual. At the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship, Philadelphia posted a sixth-place finish. In 2013, Parker recorded the programs highest individual finish in the CACC Championship with a ninth-place finish. The Rams came in sixth in the 2012 CACC Championship, matching its best-ever finish in the event. In Martins first two seasons as the head coach, Philadelphia came in eighth place. Prior to taking the head coaching position at Philadelphia University, Martin was the varsity head coach at Nazaerth Academy High School. While at Nazareth started the girls golf team. Along with his experience at Nazareth Academy, Martin has held positions at golf institutions such as Dick's Sporting Goods and Somerton Springs Golf Shop. In the positions he held with these organizations he assisted golfers as a club technician, club fitter, and as a teacher of the game of golf. It is this experience that has given him a vast knowledge of the game, in the areas of the equipment, rules, and the mental aspects of the game that assists both players and teams in accomplishing their goals. A 1980 graduate of St. Joseph's University, Martin resides in the Philadelphia area.

Nick Nguyen '18
Head Coach
Nick Nguyen enters his fourth season as head coach for men's golf and second season as head coach for women's golf in 2025-26 . Nguyen took the helm after four years as an assistant coach under Joe Martin. In his first season as head coach, Nguyen guided the Rams to second-place finishes at the Ursinus Invitational and Rutgers-Camden Fall Invitational. Noah Petracci tied for first place individually at the Ursinus Invitational. The 2023-24 campaign saw Jefferson see improvement, with the Rams having a first-place finish at the Albright Invitational. Jaden Minter and Petracci each tied for second in their respective Invitationals (Minter - Muhlenberg Invitational; Petracci - Husky Invitational). Petracci earned CACC All-Conference honors. During the 2024-25 season, the men's team placed 21st at the NCAA Altanticl/East Regional Preview. Jefferson took first at the Jefferson Tri-Match, second in the Goldey-Beacom Invitational, and third at the Jefferson Invitational. Jaden Minter earned first place at the Jefferson Tri-Match and second at Husky Invitational while Noah Petracci earned third at the Jefferson Invitational. On the women's side, they secured four Top-4 finishes as a team, including first at East Stroudsburg Invitational. Ammala Moua earned first place twice this season (Husky Invitational and Bloomsburg Invitational) while Vivian Chuang secured the top spot once (East Stroudsburg Invitational). Nguyen played for the Rams from 2014-18. He was a two-time winner of the CACC Top XV Award as the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the conference championship. A three-time CACC All-Academic honoree, Nguyen was named team MVP three times and served as team captain as a junior and senior. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in engineering with a concentration in systems and industrial engineering. Nguyen went on to earn a master's in program management from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a Systems Engineering Process Quality Assurance Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia.

Brandon Capone '14
Assistant Coach
Brandon Capone returns to Jefferson as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for men's and women's golf in June 2025. Capone was the head women's golf coach for a season and a half. A 2015 graduate of the University, Capone competed for the Rams’ men’s golf team from 2010-14. He was a co-captain during his senior season. Capone currently works as a mechanical engineer for NDI Engineering Company and is a contractor for NAVAIR, a division of the U.S. Navy. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Philadelphia University in 2015.
