John Carroll University Men's Baseball

Bell, enters his second season as part of the John Carroll University baseball staff. Bell will work with the Blue Streaks pitchers and will be a key part of JCUs recruiting efforts.   In  Bell s first season with the pitchers, the staff recorded a single season record of 322 strikeouts and a record season for most saves (12).  The pitching staff also had three players named to the All-OAC team and Drew Doring was named the OAC Pitcher of the Year, as well as an ABCA and D3Baseball.com All-American.   We are excited to have Coach Bell join the baseball family here at John Carroll, said head coach Marc Thibeault. His experience as a head coach in the NYCBL summer circuit will make for an easy transition to our program. I know with his knowledge and energy, the JCU program will be able to reach our goals on the field, on the recruiting circuit and in the classroom.   A four-year manager of the Olean Oilers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League, Bell guided the team to three playoff appearances. In 2015, Bell led Olean to a 31-26 mark and NYCBL Championship.  Also, in the summer of 2015, Bell was named NYCBL Manager of the Year.   I am excited that Coach Thibeault added me to his coaching staff to help a successful program, said Bell. This is a great opportunity and I cant wait to get started to not only help take strides in getting back to championship form but also gain experience and more baseball knowledge as I join the John Carroll baseball program. Bell helped lead Erie Community College to the NJCAA Division III World Series in 2005. The right-hander was named to the All-Region III second team after going 5-0 with a 3.27 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 33 innings of work.   A two-year letterman for the University of Pittsburgh, Bell logged 22 appearance in two years with the Panthers picking up four wins.   He graduated with a degree in administration of justice from Pitt in 2007.
