Head Coach

Ty Copper was named head coach of the Keiser spirit squad on July 28, 2025. Copper File Copper enters her first season with Keiser as head coach Pre-Keiser Copper joins Keiser after spending a year as the head cheer coach at Suncoast High School where she led Chargers to first place at the 2025 FSHAA Regional Cheer Competition, Game Day Division, fourth place at the 2025 FSHAA State Championship Semifinals, Game Day Division, first place at the 2025 No Stress Cheer Competition, Game Day Division, and first place at the Magic Touch Cheer Competition, Game Day Division. Before joining Suncoast High School, Copper was the head cheer coach at Boynton Beach High School for four season (2020-2024). There she guided the Tigers to first place at the 2024 No Stress Cheer Competition, Game Day Division. She was also selected as UCA All-American Chaperon for 2024 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade. She began her career as assistant cheer coach at Royal Palm Beach High School (2016-2018). She has successfully led teams under USA Cheer, FHSAA, UCA, and NFHS guidelines, consistently building programs rooted in discipline, teamwork, and excellence.  As a member of USA Cheer, certified in NFHS safety and FHSAA compliance, and CPR/AED certified. Personal She was an all-American cheerleader at Nova Southeastern where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2014.

Jamaine Gordon

Head Coach

Jamaine Gordon will be entering his sixth season as the Head Coach of the Keiser University Track & Field program. Gordon’s Guidance Coached five NAIA Indoor National Champions (Anthony Applequist, 2019, triple jump), (Philip Stome, 2021, heptathlon), (Harriet Tuson, 2022, 600m), (Cole Wilson, 2022-23, heptathlon) and one NAIA Outdoor National Champion (Tom Paris, 2022, Pole Vault) Led the outdoor men's team to a program-best seventh place finish in 2022 Aided in the men’s team finishing third at the 2019 NAIA Indoor National Championship In indoor, Gordon has coached 23 NAIA All-Americans and two relay teams During outdoor, he has coached twelve NAIA All-Americans On the men’s side, he has 105 individual All-Conference athletes and eleven All-Conference relay teams Guided 51 men to Conference Championships and three relay teams to a Sun Conference Title The women have produced 51 individual All-Conference athletes and eight All-Conference relay teams Coached the women to 14 individual Conference Championships and one relay Conference Championship In the classroom, track & field has brought in 32 Academic All-Conference awards 2025 (Track and Field) Led five Seahawk women and 14 Seahawk men to conference champion status Sent 23 athletes to NAIA Nationals 12 school records were set Yanis Le Mouillour was named Sun Conference Cross Country and Indoor Track Freshman of the Year Keiser men placed third overall at SUN Indoor Championships and fifth in outdoor Seahawk women placed 5th overall at SUN Indoor Championships and 5th in outdoor 2024 (Track and Field) Helped Sacha Gangloff become an indoor long jump All-American with a 7.17m mark.  Seven Seahawks were named Academic All-Conference.  Will Hill was named Sun Conference Indoor and Outdoor Freshman of the Year. Yasmine Rogers swept the Sun Conference Indoor and Outdoor Freshman of the Year award. 13 school records were set.  Eight Seahawks became conference champions during the outdoor season.  Three indoor conference champions each for the men’s and women's team.  Three Seahawks from the women’s outdoor team became conference champions, along with five from the men's team.  2023 (Track & Field) Led the Keiser Men's Indoor Team to a No. 3 national ranking, and a No. 8 national ranking in outdoor.  Coached Cole Wilson to a national championship in the indoor heptathlon, with 5347 points.  Collected five conference champions in the indoor season, and six during outdoor. Totaled 11 All-Americans on the year.  25 new school records were set. Gordon also coached one All-Conference relay team Gordon guided four All-Conference athletes on the women’s side Guided two men to conference championships and one relay team Helped the men’s team reach No. 3 in the USTFCCCA national coaches poll during the indoor season In the classroom, the team had seven Academic All-Conference awards   Pre-Keiser Prior to his arrival at Keiser, Gordon spent five years as the Head Coach at Lindsey Wilson, one year as the Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Coach at Western Kentucky, and three years at Union College as the Head Coach. While at Lindsey Wilson, Gordon coached four NAIA National Champions in the women's 100-meter, men's long jump, and a two-time triple jump champion. In his time, Gordon led the men's team to four outdoor and one indoor Mid-South championships and four outdoor and two indoor Mid-South titles on the women's side. For his efforts, he was a four-time Mid-South Coach of the Year and two-time Kentucky Coach of the Year. At the national level, he led the men's team to their best finish in 2017 of fourth. In his 11-year coaching career, he has mentored 165 All-Conference athletes, 102 national qualifiers, 68 All-Americans, 23 Academic All-Americans, nine Conference Athletes of the Year, nine National Champions, and eight Freshman of the Year. Playing Career Gordon ran track & field at Lindsey Wilson, winning the NAIA National Championship in the long jump during the 2005 season. He was a five-time All-American in the triple jump and three-time All-American in the long jump. In addition, he won the Mid-South championship once in the long jump and triple jump.   Personal Gordon graduated from Lindsey Wilson with a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication and an Associate of Arts in Social Sciences.

Brook Fordyce

Head Coach

Brook Fordyce enters his ninth season as the Head Baseball coach at Keiser University. In 2021, Coach Fordyce led the Seahawks to the New Orleans Regional Championship and an appearance in the NAIA World Series. Fordyce’s Fortitude Boasts a 270-149-1 record through eight seasons as the all-time leading head coach. In 2011, Fordyce began coaching with the Palm Beach Rockets, where 14 of his 18 players received college baseball scholarships. While with the Palm Beach Rockets, Fordyce spent two seasons as the Co-Head Coach of the Benjamin School baseball team, racking up a 41-16 record.   Playing Career Fordyce is a former Major League catcher of ten years, where he spent time with the New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles, and Tampa Bay Rays. Fordyce enjoyed the most successful time of his career with the Baltimore Orioles, where he hit .301 and received the Roberto Clemente award for his work with the American Red Cross.   Fordyce received a scholarship from Clemson University before he was drafted in the third-round by the New York Mets. During his time in the Mets organization, Fordyce was selected to the rookie league All-Star game, and a pair of Single A All-Star games. In 1992, he was voted the MVP of the Eastern League Championship game and in 1996, he was named the MVP of the All-Star game while playing for Indianapolis.   Personal Fordyce resides in Jensen Beach, Florida and has two daughters, Blake and Parker. Kelton Caldwell

Caldwell File Caldwell enters his second year as the Seahawk's hitting coach During his first season in 2025, Caldwell coached five all-conference members with four position players earning honors Guided the Sun Conference Player of the Year Simon Grinberg Helped the Seahawks make their seventh regional appearance Pre-Keiser During his time at Point, Caldwell served as the head coach of the Michigan Monarchs in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. He also spent three seasons as the hitting and defense coach for the Wausau Woodchucks in Northwoods Summer League. Prior to his stint with the Skyhawks, Caldwell was the hitting coach for Salt Lake Community College. In 2018, he nabbed his first head coaching gig at Juan Diego Catholic High School.   Playing Career As a player, Caldwell was a four-year player at Brigham Young. He was a two-time West Coast Conference First-Team honoree and batted .283 in his career. He would go on to play professional baseball for the Ozark Mountaineers and the River City Rascals before traveling to play in Australia for one season with the Brisbane Bandits in 2016. Prior to his collegiate career, Caldwell batted .451, hit eight homers, and tallied seven doubles for Jordan High in his senior season. He was named to the Deseret News First Team All-State in 2009 and 2010.

Corey Thompson

Thompson’s Thinking Thompson enters his fifth year as the Seahawks Pitching Coach Helped the Seahawks to an overall record of 37-17 in the 2025 season  Steered Keiser to their seventh NAIA Regional Apperance in program history Guided Kyle Keyes to First-Team All-Conference honors Coached Danny Galvin earning Sun Conference Honors in 2022, 2023 and 2024 Aided in Brandon McCabe earning NAIA All-American honorable mention honors   Pre-Keiser Prior to Keiser, Thompson spent a season at Point University as the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. In his lone season, he instructed seven All-Conference and two All-Region pitchers.   Thompson began his collegiate coaching career at Coastal Alabama Community College as the Pitching Coach for a season. He went on to spend three seasons as the Pitching Coach at NCAA Division II, Spring Hill College.   Thompson is the manager for the Wausau Woodchuccks in the Northwoods League. In 2024, he was named the Northwoods League Manager of the Year with an overall record of 132-80 in just three seasons. Under Thompson's tutelage, he has coached 20+ MLB draft picks, four of which were drafted in the top five rounds of the MLB draft. With several others moving on to play independent baseball.   Playing Career Thompson played and graduated from Point University in 2015 after transferring from Coastal Alabama Community College. In 2014, Thompson was a member of the Point baseball team that advanced to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history.   Personal Thompson is originally from Lakeland, Florida, and currently resides in West Palm Beach. His brother serves as the national cross-checker of the San Francisco Giants of the MLB.

Harvey Simpson

Harvey Simpson enters his fifth season as the Head Cross Country and Assistant Track & Field Coach at Keiser University. Simpson's Stride Coached Harriet Tuson to an NAIA Indoor National Championship in the 600 Meter Run in 2022. Helped Melvin Johnson become an All-American in the indoor 60m dash.  Oversaw the All-American relay team of Brandon Baker, Vindero Lightfoot, Omario Windett, and Cliff Desir.  Guided two indoor NAIA Track & Field All-Americans. Off the track, Darin Hinshaw, Gage Rasmussen, and Marie Marc, Ah'leeyah Strappier, and Nikola Vukelja were honored as Sun Conference Champions of Character.  2025 Seahawk women and men finished 5th at Sun Conference XC Championships Yanis Le Mouillour was named Sun Conference Freshman of the Year 2024 Helped the Keiser women to a runner up finish in the Sun Conference Indoor Championships. Coached two national qualifiers, and three Sun Conference Champions.  2023 Helped top KU men's runner Nikola Vukelja and women's runner Emily Guthrie set new PRs in the 8k and 6k, respectively. Mentored Chicago Marathon participant Juan Perez.  2022 Guided Keiser through a season that saw numerous individual PRs. Mentored Philippine Rey to four top-100 finishes, including a 13th place finish at the Ave Maria Invitational. Helped Keiser host the first home meet in school history, the Keiser University Flagship Invitational. Tutored Boston Marathon participant Juan Perez.  Steered KU to a sixth place finish at Sun Conference XC championships.  2021 Took over Keiser cross country and led the Seahawks to a sixth place finish in the Sun Conference.  Helped the Seahawks to 38 top-50 finishes, including nine top-10 finishes. Pre-Keiser Simpson brings 23 years of coaching experience to the Seahawks with his most recent stop coming at Brewton-Parker College where he served as the Head Track & Field Coach.   In his lone season, he coached the programs first Indoor National Champion (60m hurdles). Simpson led the men's outdoor team to a runner-up finish at the Southern States Conference Championship. Overall, he guided 25 student-athletes to All-Conference honors in outdoor track and saw 12 school records broken during the year.   Simpson began his collegiate coaching career at Cincinnati Christian University for a season. He coached the 2019 River States Conference Champion in the 60m. Simpson also made stops at Bishop Verot Catholic High School, IceUp Athletics & Track Club and Oasis High School. Personal Simpson graduated from Rasmussen University with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management.
