Duane Gomez
Assistant Coach
Gomez has coached the Kenyon College cross country teams since 1983 and the track and field programs since the 2001-02 academic year. Throughout his coaching career, Gomez's teams have been known for their marked improvement and for both outstanding team and individual successes. For his teams' performances on the cross country trail, Gomez has been voted the North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year eight times (four with the women's program, four with the men's). Most recently, he earned the conference honor for his work with Kenyon's 2008 women's team, which won the conference championship. Additionally, Gomez has collected several NCAA Division III Ohio Coach of the Year awards. Throughout his time with the cross country programs, Gomez directed the men's and women's teams to a combined total of seven North Coast Athletic Conference titles (four with the men's program, three with the women's). Between the mens and womens programs, he has coached a total of eight NCAC Runners of the Year. In his Kenyon career, Gomez has coached over a dozen All-American athletes who have combined to collect 20 national honors in cross country and track combined. Gomez, a graduate of nearby Mount Vernon Nazarene University, is an avid distance runner. He has competed in 13 marathons including the Boston Marathon. He was a college All-American, as well as a NLCAA national champion in cross country. Gomez also competed with the Ohio Striders Track Club for several years and in 2010 he completed his first ultrathon, the "Forget the PR Mohican 50k." In June of 2015 he completed the Mohican 50-Mile Trail Race. Sherry Miglin

Miglin has been an assistant cross country coach at Kenyon since the 2003 season. During that time, the Lords and Ladies have each captured a conference championship. Miglin, who also works as the throwing coach for the Kenyon track programs, has a wide range of teaching experience. She spent eight seasons coaching high school basketball and volleyball in the Toledo (Ohio) public schools before moving on to coach track and volleyball at Groveport Madison. In 1997, Miglin moved to nearby Mount Vernon, Ohio, where she currently resides with her husband and four children. Since the move, she's served as the middle school guidance counselor, as well as volleyball and track coach. A graduate of Defiance College, Miglin won four letters in volleyball, two in basketball, and two in track and field. She earned her bachelor's degree in education and went on to earn master's degrees in counseling from the University of Dayton and in school administration from the University of Cincinnati. Brian Clymer
Assistant Coach
Clymer Assistant Track & Field Coach / Recruiting Coordinator Brian Clymer joined the Kenyon College track & field program in 2013 after spending eight years as an assistant coach at Wake Forest University and one season as an assistant coach with Summit School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In his first season at Kenyon, he made an immediate impact, especially with senior Sierra DeLeon. Under Clymer's guidance, DeLeon broke College indoor records in the 60-meter dash, the 60-meter hurdles, and the 200-meter dash, as well as College outdoor records for the 100-meter dash, the 100-meter hurdles, and the 200-meter dash. She went on to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championship, where she placed second in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the 200-meter dash. As a team, the Ladies claimed 16th place at the 2014 national meet--the second-best finish in program history. In 2015, Clymer's second season, he guided Funmilayo Lawal to break the school's record in the discus at Denison's Last Chance Meet on April 24. While at Wake Forest, Clymer coached six school record-holders in jumping events and helped his athletes claim several All-ACC honors. He assisted sprinters and multi-event athletes to numerous personal bests, school records, and NCAA Championship successes. Clymers recruiting efforts played a key role in the Demon Deacons highly-ranked 2012 female recruiting class, designated ninth-best in the country by Track and Field News. Among his most accomplished student-athletes at Wake Forest were Jill Ahrens and Brent LaRue. Ahrens was a two-time All-ACC pole vaulter and former school record-holder in the event, while LaRue was an All-American multi-eventer and intermediate hurdler who currently holds the school record in the pole vault, heptathlon, and 400-meter hurdles. Clymer has had great experiences working closely with national elite-level combined-event athletes who have finished sixth or better at the USATF National Championships and/or Olympic Trials, including two-time Liberian Olympian and record-holder in the decathlon and pole vault, Jangy Addy. Rounding out his coaching experience, Clymer was also a volunteer assistant coach for two years at Kent State. There, he worked with the vertical jumpers including two All-Americans. Clymer competed in the Mid-American Conference at Kent State University. He was a team captain as a senior while competing in the pole vault. During the 1997 season, Clymer competed for Mount Union College (now known as University of Mount Union), where he qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals.

Patrick Moynahan
Assistant Coach
Moynahan Assistant Football Coach / Assistant Track & Field Coach message the coach 2016 will mark Patrick Moynahan's fourth season working with the Kenyon football program. He came to Gambier three years ago to work with the Lords' linebacking corps after capping off a stellar four-year playing career with NCAA Division I Davidson College. As a linebacker for the Wildcats, Moynahan was a two-time All-Pioneer Football League (PFL) selection and had his best season as a senior in 2012. He was named to Phil Steeles Preseason All-Pioneer Second Team at the beginning of the year and garnered much attention after setting school records in single-season tackles (122) and single-game tackles (22). Moynahan averaged 11 tackles per contest as a senior, ranking him second in the PFL and 11th nationally among FCS schools. For his efforts he was named to the 2012 All-PFL First Team in 2012. Over his four years playing for Davidson, Moynahan started in 33 straight games at middle linebacker and earned three varsity letters. He was a named to the PFL Academic Honor Roll from 2009-12 and was a two-time Academic All-PFL team member. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Classics. During football's off-season, Moynahan is an assistant coach with Lords and Ladies track and field teams. He assists in many areas, but his main focus is on field events.

Mark Lattimore
Coach
Lattimore was hired as a Kenyon assistant coach in the summer of 2016. He joined the Lords and Ladies after years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. A graduate of the University of Akron, Lattimore most recently was the head track and field coach at Centennial High School in Columbus, Ohio. In one season with the program, he guided the Stars to a City League runner-up finish. Lattimore also gained three seasons of coaching experience as an assistant for cross country and track and field at Hilliard Darby High School in Hilliard, Ohio. At the collegiate level, Lattimore spent one season as an assistant at both Case Western Reserve University and Notre Dame College. Hes teachings at those previous jobs resulted in combined totals of nine all-conference performers, eight conference champions, two national qualifiers, a school record holder and a state qualifier. During his competitive career, Lattimore was a sprinter who finished 14th in the 200-meter dash at the 2010 USA Track and Field National Championship. He earned IAAF and USATF rankings, as well as a 2007 USATF top-performer award. In 2008, he was named the Athlete of the Meet after winning the 100- and 200-meter races at the annual Hillsdale Relays.
