Head Coach
Greeley owns extensive coaching experience at the professional, semi-professional, and collegiate levels. Since his first season at King's in 2003, Greeley has led the Monarchs to eight Freedom Conference playoff berths. In 2007, he led King's to a single-season program record of 28 victories, marking the fourth straight year his teams have broken the school-record for wins in one year. In 2006, he guided King's to its finest season ever when the Monarchs won the Freedom Conference title and claimed the program's first-ever berth into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. Greeley was selected by his peers as the 2006 Freedom Conference "Coach of the Year. His head coaching mark at King's stands at 239-220-3 heading into the 2015 campaign. He has led the Monarchs to Freedom Conference playoff berths in eight of his twelve years as the head coach. During the summer of 2005, after two seasons as a minor league coach for the Cincinnati Reds, Greeley returned to the Baltimore Orioles organization as a coach for their Appalachian League affiliate in Bluefield, WV. It was Greeleys second stint in the Orioles organization as he spent 1997-1998 in Bluefield and 1999-2001 with the Orioles entry in the Gulf Coast League. The 2016 season will mark Greeleys 19th year as a professional coach in Major League Baseballs minor league system, as he will re- join the Orioles Sarasota entry in the Gulf Coast League for the sixth consecutive year. Greeley was previously with the Cincinnati Reds Class A Billings Mustangs in Montana in 2002 and Sarasota of the Gulf Coast League in 2003. As the head coach at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, he compiled a 224-125 record and led the Mountain Lions to four conference championships. Greeley, who had served as head coach at the PSU Wilkes-Barre Campus since 1995, was also a one-time assistant coach at King's, working five years with the Monarch program during the 1990-94 seasons. was inducted into the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Hall of Fame in 2014. As an assistant at King's in 1992, Greeley helped pilot the Monarchs to the MAC Northern Division championship. In 1993, King's shared the first-ever MAC Freedom League title following the conferences realignment. Greeley also spent 12 years as head coach and general manager of Orloski's collegiate/semi-professional baseball team. From 1985-1997, the team played in two separate leagues as Greeley guided the squad to a 403-144 record while winning 19 league titles. He served as Baseball Coordinator for the Pocono Region of the Keystone State Games from 1995-2001 and was the State Baseball Director in 1997. He is also the owner and director of Jerry Greeleys Player Development Baseball Academy in Northeast PA. He is currently employed full-time as a Lifeskills Support Teacher/Job Site Supervisor in the Pocono Mountain School District. Greeley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in special education from East Stroudsburg University in 1989, and then completed his Master of Education degree in Health and Physical Education, and Sport Management and Administration at East Stroudsburg in 1998. He also completed his Secondary and Elementary Principal Certification from Temple University in 2002. He is a member of the Association of Professional Ballplayers of America; the American Baseball Coaches Association; the Pocono Mountain Educational Association; the Pennsylvania State Educational Association; and the National Education Association. He was also recently honored by the ABCA for his 800th career coaching win with King's, Penn State Wilkes-Barre, and Orloski's. He currently owns an impressive 866-489-3 combined coaching record. Greeley has also been active with the Pennsylvania Special Olympics and Challenger Division Baseball. He was inducted into the Luzerne County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. Greeley was also a Jefferson Award finalist in 2008 for his involvement in numerous community service activities. Jerry is also the Director of the indoor baseball league at the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome, President of the Pocono Mountain West Little League, and established the Greeley Thunder travel baseball team for youth players. In July of 2002, Jerry Greeley was named the head coach of the King's College baseball team. A noted area baseball figure, Greeley owns extensive coaching experience at the professional, semi-professional, and collegiate levels. Since his first season at King's in 2003, Greeley has led the Monarchs to 12 Freedom Conference playoff berths. In 2007, he led King's to a single-season program record of 28 victories, marking the fourth straight year his teams have broken the school-record for wins in one year. His head coaching mark at King's stands at 378-412-5 at the conclusion of the 2026 campaign. In 2006, he guided King's to its finest season ever when the Monarchs won the Freedom Conference title and claimed the program's first-ever berth into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. Greeley was selected by his peers as the 2006 Freedom Conference "Coach of the Year." He was also selected 2016 Freedom Conference "Coach of the Year” by his peers after leading the Monarchs to a 23-13 record. Greeley has led King's to Freedom Conference Tournament berths in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. JERRY BAVITZ
Associate Head Coach
Jerry Bavitz enters his 13th year on the King’s College baseball staff, and his fourth in the position of Associate Head Coach / Scouting Coordinator. Bavitz leads the Monarchs scouting department as he attends many showcases, tryouts, and games. His vast knowledge of the game continues to be invaluable to the staff and players. He works closely with Pitching Coach Matt Kaster to help develop the pitchers in the program. He brings a wealth of coaching experience to the program, as the 2026 season will be his 55th year being affiliated with collegiate baseball. During that time, the former four-year Wilkes University pitching standout has done just about everything, including a four-year stint as Wilkes head coach. Bavitz helped lead Wilkes to three consecutive NCAA regional playoff appearances from 1976-1978, and a berth in the NCAA College World Series in 1976. Graduated from Wilkes with a degree in Mathematics in 1975. Is a featured speaker on pitching at numerous baseball camps throughout the region. Has had great success as a pitching coach. Eight of his former hurlers have signed professional contracts, including former Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Kevin Gryboski. Recently retired from the Nanticoke Area School District where he served as a Mathematics teacher, football - baseball coach and Athletic Director.

DR. MATT KASTER
Assistant Coach
Dr. Matt Kaster enters his second season on the King's College baseball coaching staff in 2026. Kaster brings a great amount of college and professional playing experience as a First Team All-Conference selection as a relief pitcher. He then pitched professionally for the Florence Freedom in the Frontier League in 2017. Dr. Kaster is responsible for working with Associate Head Coach Jerry Bavitz to enhance the development of the pitchers on the varsity and junior varsity teams. He is also responsible for providing presentations and activities to enhance player's study skills and organization as part of the team's academic monitoring program. 2017 graduate of Wilkes University with a degree in biology. 2022 graduate of Wilkes University with a Master's in Business Administration and Doctorate of Pharmacy. Member of the Wilkes baseball team from 2014-2017 and earned All-MAC Freedom First Team honors in 2016 as a relief pitcher. Signed and pitched for Florence Freedom of the Frontier League in 2017. Resides in Mountain Top, Pa. with his wife, Dallas.

RYAN WHETSTONE

Ryan Whetstone enters his fourth season on the King's College baseball coaching staff , and his first in the position of Director of Recruiting and Program Operations in 2026. Whetstone is responsible for directing all aspects of the recruiting process with the coaching staff and college departments. He also works very closely with Associate Head Coach Jerry Bavitz with coordinating staff coverage at showcases, tournaments, and games. Ryan is also responsible for assisting Coach Greeley with the day to day operations and administrative duties of the program. Had a successful playing career at PSU Wilkes-Barre in 2000 and 2001 where Coach Greeley was his coach. 1999 graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School. Played baseball for four years at Nativity B.V.M. in Pottsville, Pa. Currently resides in Taylor, Pa. and has three children, Chase, Carter, and Cole. Currently employed at Lowe's Distribution Center in Pittston, Pa.

STEVE SULCOSKI
Assistant Coach
Steve Sulcoski, who is considered one of the region's finest hitting instructors, enters his third season the King's College coaching staff in 2026. Sulcoski brings a wealth of knowledge as a professional baseball player in various independent leagues (Atlantic League, Can-Am League, Frontier League, United League, and The Empire League), at Division II Shippensburg, and at Misericordia. At King's, Sulcoski is responsible for developing the hitters in both the varsity and junior varsity programs. He will also work with the overall development of the catchers and pitch calling with Coach Kaster on game days. As mental performance coordinator, he is responsible for working with position players and pitchers on mental performance activities to improve their confidence, concentration, and composure. Lead Baseball Instructor and Player Development Coach, Baseball, The Grind Athletics (West Pittston, PA) 2013 graduate of Misericordia University with a degree in sport management. Named All-MAC Freedom Second Team as a designated hitter. Played in 49 games for the Cougars while setting the single-season record in RBIs with 54. Native of nearby Hanover, Pa. and graduate of Hanover Area High School.

Cody Krupa
Coach
Krupa is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the recruiting process with the baseball staff and college departments. He is also responsible for coordinating staff coverage at showcases/tournaments and advance scouting of opponents. Krupa was a key four-year member of the Kings baseball team. He saw action as a third baseman and DH for the Monarchs. Cody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration. MARIANNE PAIGE

Marianne Paige is enters her 11th season as a member of the King's baseball staff in 2026 as "Extra Inning" Community Outreach Program Coordinator. Marianne is responsible for assisting Coach Greeley with coordinating the various projects of the highly successful community outreach program. The Extra Inning Club has helped various people and organizations in need over the years. Two of the staple projects of the program include the Jared Box Project, which has delivered close to 22,000 boxes of toys and games to sick children in various hospitals throughout Pennsylvania over the last 16 years, and The Challenger Division baseball game for Special Needs Children. The program also added a special project of interactive weekly visits with our country’s special Veterans at the VA Hospital in Wilkes Barre to go along with yearly projects: Pajamas for Foster Children, Blankets for Senior Citizens and Stockings for Soldiers, Essentials for Homeless Families and Supplies for mothers and babies in need. Marianne, who also serves as the Vice President of Challenger Sports of PA, has been instrumental with incorporating the King's baseball players as "buddies" to the Challenger athletes each weekend. It has been an absolutely amazing learning and bonding experience for all involved. The King's players have gone well beyond the call of duty.
