He was named the interim head cross country coach in December of 2011 and the full-time head coach in July of 2012. In addition to his cross country prowess, Moreno set five all-time top 10 marks as a member of the outdoor track and field team -- four in the 10K and one in the 5K -- and one top 10 men's indoor track performance in the 5K run. Moreno, the owner of Moreno Tile & Stone in Galesburg, continues to run in road races across the Midwest.  They include the Bix in the Quad Cities, Monmouth Maple City 5K, Galesburg Railroad Days, and the Morton Pumpkin Festival.
