Angela Reynolds

Head Coach

Kutztown University named Angela Reynolds as its new head women's bowling coach on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019. Reynolds begins her fifth season during the 2024-25 campaign this fall.  Had her most successful season at the helm, leading the Golden Bears to a 58-33 overall record, the most victories in a single season in Reynolds' tenure. It is the sixth straight winning season for KU. During the 2022-23 year, Reynolds guided Kutztown to 52 wins, the most in a season since 2018-19. Chloe Sromovski was named to the East Coast Conference First Team, while Megan Hanaway earned Second Team honors. Madison Brenneman earned a spot on the ECC All-Tournament team. Reynolds brings a successful playing pedigree to the Golden Bears as a former All-American and four-year starter at Delaware State University. She becomes just the second head coach in the program's 12-year history. The native of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, was a three-time National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-American and three-time All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) selection for the Hornets. In 2009, Reynolds helped lead Delaware State to the NCAA national semifinals for the first time. She finished the season with a 193.8 scoring average and was honored as a NTCA Second Team All-American. Reynolds claimed a spot on the NTCA All-America Third Team and Brunswick NTCA All-Academic First Team as a junior in 2010, when the Hornets returned to the NCAA tournament. An injury prior to the start of what should have been her senior season forced Reynolds to redshirt during the 2010-11 season. It provided her a valuable opportunity to travel with the team as an advisor. She also assisted the head coach with practice plans and travel arrangements. Reynolds was selected to Junior Team USA in 2009 after her performance at the USBC Team USA Trials in Henderson, Nevada. She developed under premier coaches Kim Terrell-Kearney and Rod Ross. A 2012 graduate of Delaware State, Reynolds received her bachelor's degree in psychology. She also took courses in the university's coaching management program. Since graduating, Reynolds, who now calls Wilkes-Barre home, has worked with Children's Behavioral Health Services Inc. She's also been employed by Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs since 2007, organizing horse races at the facility's harness track.
