Kelsey Hoeper

Assistant Coach

Hoeper as an assistant swimming and diving coach at Lake Forest College. Aside from her coaching duties, she also works as the recruiting coordinator for both domestic and international students. Hoeper helped lead the Forester men to a runner-up finish at the 2016 Midwest Conference Championships while the women placed fourth. The teams combined to claim a dozen individual and relay conference titles, make 20 new entries on the program's top-five list in each event, and set five school records. As coach of the sprint group, Hoeper directed Travis Johnson to a conference title in the 50-freestyle and the Forester men to a championship in the 200-freestyle relay. Prior to coaching at Lake Forest College, Hoeper worked as both a swim instructor and age group coach in Chicago and Southern Oregon. Hoeper graduated from Lake Forest in 2013 after four successful years on the swimming and diving team. She is the fourth athlete in the programs history to claim 17 career Midwest Conference titles, including seven in individual events. Additionally, she was awarded Forester Athlete of the Week in 2010, MWC Performer of the Week in 2011, and was an Academic All-MWC honoree in each of her three years of award eligibility. She held school and conference records and still owns times in the 50-freestyle and 100-freestyle that rank among the top five in school history. She helped the Forester women earn a conference championship in 2012 and the team placed second in the league in each of her other three seasons. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in communication with minors in English and anthropology. She is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Roosevelt University.
