Melanie Hughes
Head Coach
Melanie Hughes is the head volleyball coach at Lake Forest College, entering her second season at the helm after being hired in February 2024. She joined the Foresters following a successful stint as an assistant coach at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps from 2021 to 2023, where she was named the 2022 AVCA Division III National Assistant Coach of the Year. For her efforts thus far, Hughes was also recognized as a 2025 AVCA Thirty Under 30 honoree. Her leadership and energy continue to drive a culture of excellence and growth at Lake Forest College.
