Adam Zaczkowski '04

Head Coach

Adam Zaczkowski ’04 was named the second head coach in the history of the the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving on May 6, 2022. Zaczkowski was promoted to head coach following five seasons as a member of the coaching staff. As Le Moyne's top assistant, he focused on seasonal plan development, alumni fundraising, recruiting, team travel, workout writing and coordination with visiting teams. "We are thrilled to name Adam Zaczkowski our new Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Head Coach," Beretta said. "Adam has proven to be an accomplished leader and role model for the men and women in our program. We are impressed by his vision for the program and are confident he will continue to bring expertise, energy and excitement to pool deck every day. "As a former Dolphin, Adam knows what is required to thrive as a Student-Athlete here at Le Moyne.  He boasts a keen understanding and a deep appreciation for our Jesuit values and culture. We are confident in his ability to develop champions in the pool and in our community. Additionally, Adam has fostered strong relationships with our alumni base and will provide valued continuity as we enter a new era in our program's history." A 2004 graduate of Le Moyne, Zaczkowski was four-year competitor for the Dolphins under Hannah, serving as team captain as a senior. He authored an impressive career in the Green and Gold, earning conference championships in the 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard individual medley events. During his competitive career on the Heights, Zaczkowski also established five school records and remains ranked in Le Moyne's all-time top 10 in seven different events. Additionally, he achieved NCAA Division II B Cuts in numerous events and served as the team's Student Athletic Advisory Committee member during his senior year. "I am honored to be the second Head Coach in Le Moyne Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving history," Zaczkowski said. "I understand how special being a Dolphin is. I am inspired daily by the commitment of our swimmers and divers and the professionalism of my athletic department colleagues. "I'd like to thank President Linda LeMura, Director of Athletics Bob Beretta and the entire Search Committee for this wonderful opportunity. I'd also like to thank Coach Joe Hannah for his many years of service and mentorship. I look forward to building on the strong foundation he laid during his incredible career as Le Moyne's Head Coach." Prior to returning to Le Moyne, Zaczkowski owned the Syracuse Chargers Swim Team from 2006 to 2019. The 300-member USA Swimming organization operated out of multiple sites. His company hosted the 1,000-athlete Speedo Sectional Swim Meet eight times, while his athletes competed at USA Swimming National Championships on several occasions. He also helped produce finalists at USA Swimming and National Club Swimming Association Junior Nationals. During his 13-year tenure as Co-Head Coach of the Chargers, he trained athletes that also competed in USA Swimming National Open Water Championships and Arena Pro Series. Many of those athletes went on to compete intercollegiately at the Division I and Division II level in conferences such as the Southeast Conference, Ivy League and Patriot League. Ashley Twitchel, who went on to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, is included on that list. The Milford, Conn., native is a lifetime member of USA Swimming, an American Swim Coaching Association Certified Disability Coach and a New York State High School certified swimming and diving official. From 2010 to 2020, Zaczkowski served as a board member of Niagara Swimming Local Swim Committee. Zaczkowski, who earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Le Moyne, completed work on a master's degree in International Sport Management at SUNY Cortland in 2021. He and his wife Erin, also a 2004 Le Moyne graduate, reside in DeWitt with their sons, Noah (8) and Owen (5).

Tracey Roman

Head Coach

Syracuse, N.Y. – Le Moyne College Interim Director of Athletics Tim Fenton announced on October 7, 2019 the hiring of Tracey Roman as head softball coach.    "Tracey Roman brings over 20 years of coaching experience to our softball program," said Fenton at the time of her hiring. "Her background includes a unique blend of significant stints at the collegiate, high school and travel levels. She is a teacher of the game, a mentor and her growth and development-coaching philosophy aligns directly with our Inside the L culture."   "I am very excited and honored to be selected to lead the Le Moyne Softball program," said Roman. "I would like to thank the search committee for their faith and confidence in giving me this opportunity. A special thanks also goes out to Le Moyne Interim Athletics Director Tim Fenton, whose vision, goals and enthusiasm for the softball program made this position so attractive to me. I am excited to be a Dolphin, where a top-of-the-line academic experience is mutually as important as the high level of competition in the Northeast-10 Conference. I can't wait to get to work!"   A native of Cicero, Roman comes to Le Moyne after serving two years as a head coach and recruiting coordinator with the UNY Revolution club program, where she has assisted numerous student-athletes to receive collegiate playing opportunities. Prior to her time with the Revolution, she served as a head coach with the Cicero Renegades and Sports Zone organizations for three years. Roman started her scholastic coaching career as the head coach of the varsity softball team for the Baldwinsville Central School District, a position she held for the 2007 through 2012 campaigns. Roman began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at her alma mater, the University of Massachusetts, for the 1998-99 academic year. The Minutewomen posted a 43-10 record, won their fifth consecutive Atlantic-10 Conference Championships and made their fifth straight NCAA Division I Regional appearance. The Minutewomen coaching staff was selected as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year. She then served as an assistant coach at Iowa State University of the Big 12 Conference for the 2000 through 2002 seasons. Roman played four years collegiately at the University of Massachusetts, where she was a starter each year for the nationally-ranked Minutewomen. UMass registered a 160-74-2 record, won four Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, made four Division I NCAA Regional appearances and two Women's College World Series appearances. She played in 230 career games (tied for the fifth-most in the program's history and second-most at time of graduation), stole a program-record 103 bases, recorded 203 hits (tied for fifth at end of her career), scored 118 runs (second-most at end of her career), hit .322, slugged .340 and recorded a .365 on-base percentage. As a senior, she stole 33 bases, which broke her own program record of 24 set in 1996 and equaled in 1997. She held the program record until 2012 and still ranks second. She was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Northeast Region Second Team as a sophomore in 1996 and to the First Team in 1998. She was tabbed to the Atlantic-10 All-Conference Team, All-New England Team and an ECAC All-Star in 1995 and 1998.   Roman graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelors of Science in 1998. In her scholastic career at Cicero-North Syracuse High School, she was a three-sport athlete and earned 11 varsity letters (4 softball, 4 basketball, 3 cross country). For her efforts on the softball diamond, she was named to the all-state first team three times and was a four-time First Team All-CNY North selection.   The Dolphins closed out the 2019 season with a 21-19 record and appeared in the NE10 Championships for a Northeast-10 Conference-record 20th straight year.   What they're saying about Tracey Roman Kristi Stefanoni, Head Softball Coach, University of Massachusetts "Tracey Roman is a class act and a highly-respected member in the softball community. Alyssa Dybacz '25

Assistant Coach

Alyssa Dybacz returns to her alma mater entering her first season on the Dolphins’ coaching staff, bringing energy, insight and first-hand experience from her own highly-successful playing career. In her role she will focus on developing the program’s hitters and catchers, while also managing a comprehensive range of administrative tasks that support the team’s operations and long-term success. During her collegiate career at Le Moyne College, Dybacz was a standout outfielder and one of the program’s most decorated hitters—earning top honors in both the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) and later the Northeast Conference (NEC) as the program transitioned from NCAA Division II to Division I. She was named to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team and All-Rookie Team in 2022. In 2023 she elevated her game, earning NE10 All-Conference First Team honors by leading the league in doubles (17), conference doubles (11), and extra-base hits (16) while posting a slash line of .421/.482/.763 in conference play. In 2024 she earned NEC All-Conference recognition, registering a .345 batting average, .546 slugging percentage, 60 hits and 37 runs scored.  In 2025, Dybacz was honored as the female recipient of the Rev. J.J. O’Brien Senior Athlete Achievement Award—an accolade presented by the Dolphin Athletic Association to the senior student-athlete at Le Moyne College who has distinguished themselves through outstanding athletic achievement, leadership, character, and service to the college and community.  With her deep connection to Le Moyne and a passion for softball, Dybacz is uniquely positioned to guide the Dolphins as they compete at the NCAA Division I level, preparing student-athletes to excel both on and off the field.

Todd Locey

Assistant Coach

Todd Locey enters his sixth season as Assistant Softball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Dolphins, where he has been a key architect in the program’s transition from NCAA Division II to Division I competition. As Recruiting Coordinator and Director of Operations, Locey oversees the program’s logistical operations while identifying and attracting top talent to keep the Dolphins competitive at the highest level. His eye for talent and organizational expertise have been essential in building a culture of excellence on and off the field. Before joining Le Moyne, Locey founded UNY Revolution Fastpitch in 2007, serving as its President and guiding the organization into one of New York State’s most respected youth softball programs. Under his leadership, the UNY Revolution have thrived in a competitive landscape, earning a reputation for both player development and long-term success. With a unique blend of coaching acumen, operational skill, and recruiting insight, Locey continues to be a driving force in the growth and success of Le Moyne softball.
