Cat Lovallo
Head Coach
Lovallo enters her second season as the assistant coach for women's lacrosse at Lees-McRae. We are excited about having Cat assisting our womens lacrosse team. This marks a strong commitment as she is the first assistant coach in the history of our program, praised Craig McPhail. Her skills and familiarity with Coach (Lexi) King will certainly make a difference for our young women. Lovallo spent the last seven months as a volunteer assistant at St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, N.C. For the Knights, she assisted in practice plans, individual workouts, monitored rehab routines and breaking down game film. I am excited to add Cat Lovallo to Lees-McRae College and the womens lacrosse family. Shes being welcomed at a very exhilarating time to be a member of the Bobcat coaching staff, said King. Cats outstanding career as a player, teaching ability, and passion for the game has put her in position to excel as an assistant coach. Lovallo was a two-time first-team all-conference representative at SAU while earning All-American first-team accolades in the National Womens Lacrosse League. In 2013, she was tabbed Appalachian Athletic Conference Womens Lacrosse Player of the Year. Prior to her playing time at St. Andrews, Lovallo spent two years at Brookdale Community College and was named captain in 2012 while earning all-region recognition, twice, and all-conference, once, in 2010. I am excited to start my coaching career at Lees-McRae alongside Coach King. Together, we are going to continue to help elevate the lacrosse program, said Lovallo. I am grateful to be given this opportunity by Dr. Barry Buxton and McPhail. Lovallo earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and exercise science and is CPR and First Aid certified.
