Lehigh University Women's Golf

Siegel enters her third season as an assistant coach with the Lehigh womens golf team. Siegel will primarily assist head coach Judy Dwyer with student-athlete recruitment and will also help out with Spring Break and in-season competitions. Siegel is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor with a focus on sports nutrition. Last year, she assisted the Mountain Hawks in a volunteer role, helping out at the Patriot League Championship and the Lehigh Fall Invitational.   As a player, Siegel is a scratch golfer with a current handicap of +.6, who has successfully competed in regional and national tournaments including the USGA Womens MidAm Championship, USGA Womens Senior Championship, and the North, South Senior Championship. She remains active on the Womens Golf Association of Philadelphias tournament circuit with numerous tournament wins and top five finishes. Most notably, Siegel won the 2013 and 2014 Farnum Cup Championships (WGAP Stroke Play) and was awarded the Silver Cross, which recognizes the Womens Golf Association of Philadelphias Player of the Year, in both years. She has also won several club championships.   Over her 15 year playing career, Siegel has served in leadership positions as an Executive Board Member of the Womens Golf Association of Philadelphia, Platt Trust Club Director of the Golf Association of Philadelphia, a member of the Commonwealth Nationals Board of Governors, and Tournament Chairman of the Commonwealth National Golf Club.   Siegel is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she studied both Engineering and Business. She is a certified human resource professional with experience in human resource management and insurance. She had previously led the human resources departments of several large companies. She currently works as a consultant to analyze, manage and recommend solutions to human resource initiatives.    

Dwyer, a long-time member of Saucon Valley Country Club, returned to Lehigh in June of 2012 after previously serving as an assistant coach for the Mountain Hawks from 2008 to 2010.  Dwyer led the Mountain Hawks to the inaugural Patriot League Championship in her first season as a head coach.   Last season, Dwyer led the Mountain Hawks to runner-up finishes in two of their first eight tournaments and a third place finish at the Patriot League Championship. Three of the six golfers on Lehighs roster earned All-Patriot League honors, led by freshman Aileen Jeong, who became Dwyers second Patriot League Rookie of the Year. Junior Elizabeth McGarrigle and freshman Reagan Jahn also garnered all-league distinction with McGarrigle also named to the Academic All-Patriot League team.   The 2014-15 season saw Dwyers Mountain Hawks post three runner-up tournament finishes including a second place finish at the Patriot League Championship. Senior Alyssa Scheyd capped her career by finishing third overall at the league championship to earn first team all-league honors. Nicole Feierberg finished fourth to earn her second straight all-league nod, while Kelly Moylan capped her career by becoming a three-time All-Patriot League performer. Moylan also represented the Mountain Hawks on the Academic All-Patriot League team.   Seven Mountain Hawks were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, while the womens golf program earned the NCAA APR Public Recognition Award for the third consecutive year.   In 2013-14, Dwyer guided the Mountain Hawks to a pair of spring tournament team titles. Lehigh won the Warner University Invitational over spring break and later captured the Red Flash Invitational. Senior Crystal Lee became Dwyer and Lehighs second consecutive Patriot League Championship individual medalist and Outstanding Golfer of the Year as Lehigh finished third in a tight three-team race at the league championship at Saucon Valley Country Club. Lee earned first team All-League honors, while Kelly Moylan and Nicole Feierberg earned spots on the second team.   Off the course five student-athletes were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.   The 2012-13 golf season saw Lehigh finish in the top half of four of its eight multi-day tournaments. Dwyers first season began with a sixth place finish in the 15 team Bucknell Invitational, and ended with the Mountain Hawks winning the four-team Patriot League Championship on the same Bucknell Golf Course.   Four players earned All-Patriot League honors, including Chelsea Michalek 13, the tournaments individual medalist who was named Outstanding Golfer of the Year. In addition to the four All-League performers, Feierberg was named Rookie of the Year following her eighth-place individual finish.   The Mountain Hawks were also strong academically, with six players named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, including Ginette Schapira 13, who was named the first Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year in womens golf.   Dwyer is a five-handicap and has over 30 years of regional and national playing experience. She has captured 13 Club Championships in her career, spanning three different clubs: Saucon Valley Country Club, Lehigh Country Club in Allentown, and the Lost Tree Club in North Palm Beach, Florida. The 2013 winner of the Lehigh Country Club womens championship, Dwyer has won past club championships at both Saucon Valley CC and the Lost Tree Club. She has played in events hosted by associations including the Eastern Womens Golf Association, the USGA, the Pennsylvania State Womens Golf Association, and the Womens Golf Association of Philadelphia. Dwyer was an alternate for the 2010 U.S. Senior Womens Open and has played in several national events in Florida as well.   Dwyer served on the Executive Board for the Pennsylvania State Womens Golf Association from 2008-2011 and has extensive experience working with various golf committees at Saucon Valley C.C. Among her duties, Dwyer served as a rules official for the State Womens Amateur and ran a Junior Clinic at the 2009 U.S. Womens Open at Saucon Valley C.C. that drew more than 100 junior golfers. She also serves as Executive Board Director for the Womens TransNational, which is one of largest national womens golf amateur tournaments in the world.   Saucon Valley Country Club is where Dwyers coaching career began as she served as an assistant coach for six years with the SVCCs Junior Colonial Golf Team for junior girls and boys 18 and under. Dwyers daughter Katie played collegiately at Georgetown and served as a team captain for the Hoyas, and has previously served on the Mountain Hawks coaching staff as well. Dwyer also assisted the Georgetown womens golf team as a practice player and volunteer assistant travel coach. In her first stint at Lehigh, Dwyer helped lead the Mountain Hawks to a first-place finish in the five-team Kutztown Invitational in 2008 and a second-place finish at the 2008 Rutgers Invitational. Lehigh also tied for second at the 2009 ECAC Championship, while Dwyer guided the Mountain Hawks through a head coaching change in the 2010 spring season. Dwyer spent the 2011-12 school year as the womens golf coach at the Benjamin School in Jupiter, Florida.   Lehigh is currently one of six Patriot League institutions that sponsor varsity womens golf, along with Boston University, Bucknell, Holy Cross and Navy and Richmond.
