Zack Siefert

Head Coach

Siefert is entering his fourth year as the head coach of the Limestone College mens and womens golf teams. During his tenure in the Blue and Gold, Siefert has guided both programs to unprecedented heights as both have been successful at the conference, regional and national levels.   Under his leadership, the womens program has won three consecutive Conference Carolinas Championships while the mens team is coming of a second straight conference title. The mens team qualified for the NCAA Tournament in the 2014 and 2015 season, but Siefert guided both programs to the NCAA Regional Tournament during the 2016 campaign.   Siefert has enjoyed mentoring two golfers that have advanced to the NCAA Championships in each of the past two seasons. After the women earned an individual national qualifier for the first time in team history, the men followed closely this past year as senior Griffin Brown earned a berth at nationals. Brown finished third overall at the NCAA Championships with an impressive three-day total of 10-under 206.   A two-time Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year, once as the womens coach and the latest as the mens coach, Siefert has mentored two Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year and two Conference Carolinas Players of the Year. Altogether, the Saints have earned a total of 21 All-Conference Carolinas selections and two All-Southeast Region honorees since the 2014 season.      Prior to his time at Limestone, Siefert crafted a solid career as a collegiate coach at the NCAA Division I level, a professional golfer and a course pro. Most recently he served as the assistant men's golf coach at Division I Charleston Southern during the 2013 season, and was the assistant golf professional and swing instructor at Dunes West Golf Course in Charleston, S.C.   An accomplished golfer in his own right, Seifert followed his time at Clemson with a three-year professional playing career on the NGA Hooters Tour, EGolf Tour and Carolina's Mountain Tour. While on tour he was mentored by US PGA Tour Accredited coaches Dale Lynch and Dick Harmon and claimed a Carolina Mountain Pro Tour victory.   He began his collegiate career in 2003 at Clemson after earning the prestigious Jay Haas Award as South Carolina's top golfer. While with the Tigers, Siefert was a three-year varsity letterman and helped lead the team to the 2004 ACC Championship and was an Academic All-American. He earned the 2007 Ricketts Family Award for Most Improved and was voted the 2008 recipient of the Larry Wallace Dyar Captain's Award for Outstanding Leadership and Commitment.   Siefert graduated from Clemson University in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with a Sports Management emphasis. He also graduated with a minor in Business Management.

Ansley Smith

Assistant Coach

Smith has helped guide the mens and womens golf programs to a total of five Conference Carolinas Championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances.   During her tenure, the womens golf team has won three consecutive Conference Carolinas Championships and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time a season ago while the mens team is coming off back-to-back conference titles and a third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.   A 2011 Limestone graduate, Smith returned to the program after having played four years of golf for the Saints and has helped mentored 21 All-Conference Carolinas selections, two All-Southeast Region honorees and two individual national qualifiers.   Smith played for Limestone from 2008-11, earning All-Conference Carolinas accolades in each of her last three years. She was a First-Team selection as a junior in 2010, becoming just the sixth Saint to accomplish the feat in program history, and was named to the Third-Team as a sophomore and senior.   During her last three years she was named the teams Most Valuable Player and was a Conference Carolinas All-Academic selection as a junior and senior. As a senior, she notched a second place finish at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Invitational at Pinehurst.   Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Limestone in 2011 and currently resides in Gaffney, S.C.
