Ron Riggle
Head Coach
Riggle is currently in his 26th season, coaching the LLCC Loggers and his 14th season as head coach. In addition to his coaching duties, Ron has served as the colleges athletic director since 1997. In this role, he takes a keen interest in the success of each athletic program at the college, working diligently to attract and retain gifted, hard working student athletes to LLCC. While coaching at Lincoln Land Community College, Ron has been a driving force in the continued success of the program, including the National Championship teams in 1994 and 2000 and the 1993 and 1995 NJCAA National Tournament teams. During Rons LLCC coaching career, the Loggers have won more than 700 games. The last two years the Loggers have gone to the NJCAA Division II World Series. Coach Riggles expertise and enthusiasm are built on the foundation of his own successes as a student athlete in both high school and college. The former Springfield high school All-City pitcher still holds a number of city records including a perfect 0.00 ERA record for All City performances. Ron won a record 13 games as a senior at Springfield high school. Ron won 14 games as a starter fro the Loggers during the 1987-1988 seasons at Lincoln Land Community College. After Lincoln Land, Ron went on to pitch for Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Ron pitched on the team that won back to back Big South Conference Championships in 1989 and 1990. Ron and his wife Angie currently reside in Springfield and are the proud parents of Seth (21), Noah (19), Connor (18) and Becca (9).

Steve Torricelli
Assistant Coach
Torricelli is a 1986 graduate of Springfield High school where he was a classmate and teammate of Head Coach Ron Riggle. Steve went on to play at Eastern Illinois University making the team as a walk on pitcher in the fall of '86 for Coach Tom McDevitt. During his sophomore year he earned a partial scholarship as a member of the panthers pitching staff. After two years on the roster he then switched gears to join the coaching staff as a student assistant coach for Dan Callahan. Coach Cal was the head coach at SHS in 1984 and 1985. After 5 seasons coaching at EIU Steve began teaching and coaching football and baseball at Taylorville High School. In the fall of 1999 Coach Tor became the head coach of Springfield College in Illinois. In 2003 and 2008 he was selected as Conference Coach of the year for the Midwest Athletic Conference and in 2007 and 2008 he was voted Regional Coach of the year for region 24. In 2012 SCI was converted into Benedictine University at Springfield playing as a member of the NAIA in the American Midwest Conference. During his time as a head coach he has had over 100 players earn academic all-conference; he coached over 50 players who earned all-conference. He was fortunate enough to coach 10 prestigious Academic All Americans and another 17 Academic All Americans. He had two players earn All American status and has one player selected as a MLB draft pick. Steve and his wife Gina are the parents of Lauren Blakeman and Olivia Torricelli.

Dan McGee
Coach
Danny McGee is in his 20th season as a coach for the Loggers. Danny also works with the catchers and hitters at LLCC. He played at Lincoln Land from 1998-99. After LLCC, he went to Western Illinois University and played for two seasons. Danny and his wife Courtney have a daughter, Molly and a son Miles.

Justin Palmer
Coach
Justin is entering his fifth season as an assistant coach for the Loggers. He is familiar with the programs' winning tradition as he was an infielder on the 2013-14 team that went on a run including 40 regular season wins and an NJCAA Division II World Series appearance. After 2 seasons at LLCC, Justin finished his college career at Lindenwood University-Belleville. Shortly after, he began coaching travel baseball and training players of all ages across central and southern Illinois. Justin will be working with hitters and position players and will assist in the Loggers recruiting efforts. Justin has a strong passion for growing the game of baseball and looks forward to building relationships with players, helping to accomplish their career goals, while contributing to the continual success of Logger Baseball.
