Stapleton joined the golf staff in 2014 after she was selected from a strong pool of candidates to fill that position. No stranger to the layout and breadth of the South Atlantic Conference, Stapleton starred with the Lady Railsplitters for four seasons, completing her stead with the fifth-lowest scoring average in the history of the school's women's program with an 82.71 mark. From 2008-12, the Jefferson City, Tennessee native finished with a .634 won-lost percentage, nabbing 12 top ten finishes, six top five placements and one tournament victory in 72 competitive rounds. Stapleton garnered South Atlantic Conference All-Tournament Second Team in 2009 after firing a three-day total of 247 (+31), a number she bested during her junior season with a 20-over par 233 in the 2011 championship. For that effort, Stapleton finished fifth and earned SAC All-Tournament First Team distinctions. Those awards were just the tip of the iceberg for Stapleton, who was accomplished both in the classroom and on the course. Stapleton was a four-time SAC Honor Roll Selection as well as a 2011-12 National Golf Coaches Association Division II All-American Scholar. Additionally, Stapleton was the recipient of the President's Award at the 2012 LMU Athletics Banquet. In 2007, Stapleton was named All-District and All-Region while leading Jefferson County to the Class AAA State Championship. Stapleton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Kinesiology from Lincoln Memorial in 2012, and she needed only one year to receive her Masters of Business Administration in 2013.
