Head Coach
O'Brien also encouraged strong classroom participation, which ultimately earned the team the Team Academic Award by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America. The squad posted a combined GPA of at least 3.0 to take home the honor. O'Brien is eager to continue building the Lipscomb womens soccer program. My vision for the womens soccer program at Lipscomb University is to pursue excellence, OBrien said. If we strive for excellence in all we do and pursue it with a passion on the field, in the classroom and around town we will reap the successes that accompany this vision. He married his wife, Shannon, a former University of Arizona women's soccer player, in 2003. Shannon played professionally for the Charlotte Lady Eagles. They have a 6-year old daughter, Keely and a 3-year son, Keegan.
