Rudys 21st season as the head coach of the Lock Haven University field hockey program. Just the third coach in program history, Rudy, a 1977 Lock Haven State College graduate is one of the most decorated collegiate coaches in the history of the sport. The 2015 season was another remarkable one for LHU field hockey, both on and off the field. LHU finished the 2015 season at 15-5 overall. Highlighting the season was the school's first-ever win over UMass and The Haven's first win over Penn State in 30 years. Lock Haven finished the season with seven shutouts, one of the best marks in all of NCAA Division I field hockey. Both Megan Wenrich and Stephanie Whiteman were named All-Region after 2015 season. A total of four players earned All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors including Rachel Valentine (2nd Team), Megan Wenrich (2nd Team), Tamia Roach (All-Rookie Team), Alyscia Smith (All-Rookie Team). Off the field, the team excelled in the classroom once again and was named a National Academic Team for a 3.0 team GPA or higher. A total of 14 players earned a spot on the individual National Academic squad and two players earned the prestigious honor of being a Scholar of Distinction. In all, this is her 39th season coaching college field hockey.  Rudy has already enjoyed an amazing career, rich with accomplishments. In 2011, she collected her 500th career win and enters the 2016 season with 573 wins as a head coach. Highlighting an amazing 2013 season for Rudy was her 300th win at LHU. She is now 327-106 at her alma mater. Rudy has led LHU to the NCAA Division II Championship game three times, winning the title in 2000 after going 21-2 that season. Rudy led LHUs transition into Division I play in 2004 and LHU went 19-1 that first season Rudy and the Lady Eagles have never looked back.  Rudy is 573-198-22 all-time. Rudy would see plenty of success as she guided her team to five regular season championships and four tournament championships in the Northeast Conference from 2004-09. She also won the NEC Coach of the Year in 2004 as her team went 19-1 and 8-0 in the conference. During that stretch, her Lady Eagles had a combined record of 105-27 overall, including three undefeated seasons in the NEC. Lock Haven made a run to the NCAA Tournament in both 2008 and 2009 but fell to American University both years losing 2-0 and 2-1. Before coming to the NEC, Rudy enjoyed unrivaled success with her teams in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference from 1996-2003, going a combined 145-33. Lock Haven reached the PSAC Championship game seven out of the eight years, winning it all four times. LHU also finished as regular season champions four times. From 2000-2002, the Lady Eagles made three straight NCAA Division II Tournament appearances. In 2000, Rudy won her first National Championship at LHU after finishing the season on an 11-game win streak and beating Bentley 2-0 for the National Championship. She was also named Division II National Coach of the Year that same season. During 2001 and 2002 seasons, Rudy coached her teams to the NCAA semifinals, but LHU was edged by one goal in both games. During the 1998 season, Rudy willed her team to a 20-3 season and made the National Championship game for the second time in her career. Lydia George, Rebekah Hershey and Kiersten Olsen were named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction rounding out an all-around phenomenal 2013 campaign. Weisen was a huge push behind Lock Havens 2009 NEC Championships as well. Over the last six seasons with Weisen as an assistant, LHU has gone 80-46. In all, shes helped 46 different players garner All-Conference and All-Region honors.  Weisen is also still active with the US Indoor National Team. In the spring of 2013, she traveled with the National Team for a tournament in Argentina where she took part in eight games. Weisen was one of 19 players selected to play for the US National Team in a three-game series with Canada last summer (2013). She also played for Team USA in February (2014). Weisen was one of 11 players selected to play in the Big Apple International Indoor Tournament.  This past year (2014-15), she continued her playing career. Weisen closed the 2014 calendar year and opened 2015 with Team USA in Germany as part of an indoor tour vs. top Bundesliga German Club teams. In March (2015), she joined the U.S. National Team at the Big Apple Invitational Indoor Tournament, where she was one of 10 players selected to the U.S. Women's Senior Squad Indoor Team for the tournament that featured top club teams from the U.S. and Canada. Most recently she helped the Mambas win the 2015 Harrow Cup in June.  Before her time at LHU, Weisen served as the assistant varsity and junior-varsity coach at State College High School for the 2008 season. Weisen was a student-athlete at Penn State University. While at Penn State, she garnered numerous individual honors, while also helping Penn State to a number of team successes including the 2005 Big 10 Conference Championship. In 2007, Weisen was named a 2007 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Third Team All-American and was named to the 2007 NCAA All-Tournament Team while leading PSU to a National Runner-up finish. Following the 2007 season, Weisen was also a Division I Senior All-Star Selection. She was a two-time All-Mid-East selection and a two-time Academic All-Big 10 Selection. In 2005, Weisen began serving as top-level coach at Penn States summer camps while helping to run the Penn State Youth Program, by serving as a volunteer assistant. Weisen also served as the head indoor field hockey coach for State College. Weisen also youth National Team experience, having played for the U.S. Under-19 and Under-16 National Teams. She was also a Junior Olympic Selection from 2000 to 2002. A Middleburg High School graduate, Weisen is still the schools all-time leading scorer with 94 goals and 60 assists. During her standout high school career, she was named a Pennsylvania All-State selection following each of her four seasons. Weisen is a current member of the United States Indoor National Team and will look to take part in a number of events throughout the year. In May (2014), Weisen graduated from LHU with a Masters Degree in Sport Psychology. She earned a 4.0 and is now a Sport Psychology consultant.
