Sean Bliss
Assistant Coach
Bliss was named Head Womens Soccer Coach in July 2013 after a lengthy national search. He played his collegiate soccer at Stevens Institute of Technology, a perennial NCAA Division III top-10 contender, where he graduated in 2008 with a 3.5 grade-point-average. The mark earned him First Team All-District Academic All-American honors. While at Stevens, Bliss played under Tim ODonohue, the winningest coach in Division III history. Prior to college, he played for Sereno Soccer Club under Harry Demos, the Director of Soccer Operations at Christs Church of the Valley Soccer Club. Having been a standout Division III student-athlete, Bliss is well aware in the type of enivironment and student-athletes he will be competing in and with. My philosophy as a coach is a simple one, he said. Working hard and doing things the right way on the field, in the classroom and in life; will allow us to achieve success. In recent years, Bliss has served as a Youth Trainer for the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer. His responsibilities included training boys seven-and-under for the Red Bulls Youth Academy working mostly on basic skills including dribbling, passing shooting. He also trained girls 13 and under for the academy, highlighting basic skills, combination play, strategies and tactics. Bliss also ran soccer clinics for boys and girls ranging in ages from four-to-eight. In addition to his coaching duties at Lyndon, Bliss also serves as a counselor and recruiter with the Lyndon Admissions Department.
