Mike Davenport
Head Coach
Mike Davenport took over as Madison College head baseball coach during the 2005 season and is in his 22nd season leading the WolfPack. Coach Davenport advanced to the NJCAA Division II World Series in Millington, Tennessee, his first season at the helm in '05, and subsequently made an NJCAA Division II record six straight appearances in Enid, Oklahoma. Following a two-year absence, Madison College broke its record with seven consecutive years from 2018 to 2025 (There was no event in 2020). The 2022 campaign ended with a spot in the championship series and a national runner-up finish, the program's best at the Division II level. During the 2022 season, Davenport became the 43rd coach in NJCAA history to reach 1,000 career junior college wins. In 2024, Davenport was selected as an assistant coach for the NJCAA All-Star Team that will represent the USA in international competition at Baseball Week Haarlem in the Netherlands. In March 2025, Davenport was named to the first-ever NJCAA Coaches Legacy Award as a result of winning at least 1,000 games at the junior college level. He currently owns an 805-325-3 (.711) all-time record with the WolfPack, as well as a career NJCAA record of 1,144-489-3 (.700). In addition to coaching, Davenport is a faculty member in the Kinesiology department at Madison College. At Madison College, Davenport has won 13 conference championships, 15 region titles, and made 14 national tournament appearances. He has been recognized as the Region 4/13 Coach of the Year 16 times, selected as the ABCA Region Coach of the Year 14 times, and named the N4C Coach of the Year on eight occasions. He has produced 99 all-conference players, including four conference most valuable players, and 78 all-region recipients, including two Region 4 Players of the Year and one Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year. On a national stage, Davenport has instructed 14 All-Americans, three Gold Glove winners, and one NJCAA Defensive Player of the Year. Since taking over the WolfPack program, Davenport has helped 15 players be drafted into the MLB and sent more than 200 players on to continue their baseball careers at four-year institutions. Before arriving at Madison College, Davenport spent the previous nine seasons as the head baseball coach, athletic director, and assistant wellness center director at his alma mater, Kishwaukee College, in Malta, Illinois. Coach Davenport experienced tremendous success while coaching at NJCAA Division II Kishwaukee College from 1995 to 2004. Under his guidance, his teams recorded a 339-164 record in nine seasons, claiming five conference titles and winning the NJCAA Division II National Championship in 1999. In addition to his teams’ successes, he helped almost 90 Kishwaukee players transfer to four-year schools. Six players who once called Davenport "coach" went on to play professional baseball, three of whom eventually reached the Major Leagues. Davenport, the 1999 NJCAA Division II National Coach-of-the-Year, also served as a Major League scout for the Chicago White Sox from 1998 to 2013. Over his final six years at Kishwaukee College, every one of his recruited players received a scholarship offer to either an NCAA or NAIA institution. His strong relationships with professional scouts and coaches, combined with his exceptional teaching skills, have enabled him to recruit high-quality players from across the Midwest and place them in high-quality four-year NCAA programs. Before taking over the Kishwaukee baseball program, Davenport coached at Clarke College. He was an assistant from 1993-1994 before taking over as head coach and serving as the sports information director for the 1995 season (12-32). Davenport was born and raised in DeKalb, Illinois. In high school, he was a three-sport letter winner in baseball, basketball, and golf. He earned all-conference honors in baseball and basketball during his senior season. Coach Davenport played collegiate baseball at Kishwaukee College in 1989 and 1990 before transferring to Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa, to play his final two seasons. While at Kishwaukee, he earned academic all-conference honors in both seasons. At Clarke College, Davenport earned academic and athletic first-team all-conference honors in baseball. In 1991, he was named to the all-district first team for his play at shortstop. In addition, Davenport was selected team MVP in both his seasons at Clarke College. In 2024, Davenport was inducted into the Clarke University Athletics Hall of Fame as a player. In 1992, Davenport graduated from Clarke College with a degree in Business Administration/Sports Management. In 2003, he earned his master's degree in Physical Education/Sports Management from Northern Illinois University. Davenport currently lives in Sun Prairie with his wife, Christi, daughter, Marli, and sons, Easton and Rylan.

Parker Schrage
Assistant Coach
Schrage also pitched for the University of Dayton for two seasons, after he left Madison College, helping the Flyers to their first ever regional appearance in 2012. In 2013, the Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin, native was a student assistant coach for Dayton. In his high school playing days, Schrage was a four-sport star, participating in baseball, basketball, football and track and field. He was named an all-state pitcher in 2009. Justin Scanlon
Assistant Coach
Justin Scanlon is entering his fifth season as an assistant baseball coach with Madison College after being hired in August 2021. He helped the WolfPack finish national runners-up at the 2022 NJCAA Division II World Series and set a school record for wins with a 50-10 record. "Scan" returns to Madison College where he played for the WolfPack from 2008-2010. Scanlon helped Madison College reach the 2010 NJCAA Division II World Series as a shortstop. During his two season with the 'Pack, the team posted an 81-27 record, won two conference titles, and two region championships. As a sophomore, Scanlon posted 78 hits, 58 runs batted in, 57 runs scored, and 28 stolen bases, which all rank among the ten best in program history for a single season. He left the program ranking sixth in career stolen bases and 20th in RBI. Scanlon was named first team all-region and all-conference in 2010. After Madison College, Scanlon went on to play two more season at NCAA Division I Michigan State University. He and the Spartans won a Big Ten Conference championship in 2011 and reached the NCAA Regional in 2012. As a senior, Scanlon was named Big Ten Second Team All-Conference. He graduated from MSU in 2012 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Special Education Teaching License. In his prep days, Scanlon played baseball, basketball, and football at Verona Area High School. He was an all-conference honoree in baseball as a senior in the Badger Conference. Scanlon's brings nine years of baseball coaching experience after serving as a varsity assistant baseball coach at Verona Area High School since 2013. Scanlon currently works as a Special Education Teacher at Verona Area High School, a position he's held for six years. He currently lives in Verona with his wife and two kids. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing baseball, and golfing.

Eliot Turnquist
Assistant Coach
Eliot Turnquist is entering his third season as an assistant coach for the Madison College baseball team after being hired prior to the 2024 season. He return to the WolfPack after playing for the team from 2018 to 2020. After red-shirting his first season, Turnquist earned First Team All-North Central Community College Conference and Region 4 accolades as a freshman. The righthanded pitcher broke the school record for saves in a season with nine and posted a 1.69 ERA over 37.1 innings. Madison College went 29-24 that season, claiming conference and region titles en route to an appearance in the NJCAA Division II World Series. His earned run averaged still ranks 18th in program history. Turnquist and his teammates lost their 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Following his time at Madison College, Turnquist went on to play at NCAA Division I Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, for the 2021 season. He appeared in five games and posted an 0-1 record with a 7.20 ERA over 5.0 innings. Turnquist then transferred to NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee where he pitched for the Panthers during the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. His time at UWM ended with a 4-3 record and one save in 21 total appearances, with a 6.37 ERA and 62 strikeouts. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications, and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Marketing at UW-Milwaukee. As a prep at Columbus High School, Turnquist played baseball and basketball, earning a total of three varsity letters. He was a three-time all-conference pitcher and selected to the WBCA All-Star Game.

Ty Hamilton
Assistant Coach
Ty Hamilton is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Madison College baseball team after being hire in June 2025. Hamilton began his coaching career helping the Sun Prairie West High School baseball team as an assistant coach during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In between, he served as a varsity football assistant coach at Sun Prairie East High School. Hamilton was a standout baseball and football athlete at Sun Prairie HS, helping the baseball program to back-to-back WIAA Division 1 State Baseball Tournament appearances and one runner-up finish, as well as a state runner-up trophy in football. The two-time all-conference catcher continued his baseball career at NCAA Division III UW-La Crosse, where he earned WIAC All-Conference honors and helped the Eagles to a 2023 NCAA Division III World Series appearance. He graduated with a degree in Marketing. Hamilton currently lives in Sun Prairie and has spent the past two years working as an account specialist at Fastenal.
