Scott Marzolino
Assistant Coach
Marzolino was named as the programs second ever head coach on August 16, 2005. "Scott has taken our program when it was still in its infancy and turned it into a power in the conference, winning multiple championships," stated Madonna athletic director Bryan Rizzo. "I could not be more pleased with what he has done to improve the team on and off the course. In addition to its athletic performance, the women's golf team is always near the top of our teams in terms of grade point average. That is directly related to the importance Scott places on academics." Marzolino has led the Crusaders to five Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championships (2009, 2010 regular season, 2010-11 regular season and tournament and 2013 tournament.) during his tenure while also being named WHAC Coach of the Year four times (2009, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2014-15). Following the 2014-15 regular season, Marzolino was also tabbed as the WHACs Coach of Character for displaying the NAIAs five core values of respect, responsibility, servant leadership, integrity and sportsmanship after a vote of his fellow coaches. Individually, a total of 13 of Marzolinos pupils have earned All-WHAC first team honors while another 12 have earned honorable mention all-league awards and Michelle Hall became Madonnas first WHAC individual champion under Marzolinos coaching, winning the crown twice (2010, 2011-12). In 2015-16, freshman Karen Zambrano earned WHAC Newcomer of the Year honors under Marzolino's guidance. Academically the Crusaders have earned over a dozen NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards while being named to the WHAC All-Academic Team 18 times in Marzolinos tenure. Marzolino was elected as the WHAC womens golf chair in 2007 and has held that post since that time. He serves as the link between the WHAC executive committee and his fellow coaches. A 1990 graduate of Grand Valley State University, Marzolino earned his Master of Science from Wayne State University in 1993 and has continued his executive education at Tulane University in 2003 as well as at the University of Notre Dame in 2008. He currently works as a Global Program Director for Dell, Inc. Marzolino and his wife Dina have three daughters; Alyssa, Adrienne and Emily.
