Marian University Men's Tennis

Wiegert (08) as head coach of the mens and womens tennis programs, effective July 1, 2014. Wiegert has spent the previous four years as a member of the IT department and admissions staff at the university, while assisting the mens basketball program. We are thrilled to offer Marcus a full-time position within our athletic department and confident that he can build our tennis programs into contenders, while continuing to assist our defending conference championship mens basketball program, Interim Athletics Director Jason Bartelt said. This hire coincides with the positive growth within our athletic department and continues to represent our commitment to providing the best experience possible for our student-athletes. Wiegert will dedicate his time and effort into recruiting and building up both programs into conference contenders. I want to thank Interim Athletic Director Jason Bartelt and the rest of the administration for giving me this opportunity, Wiegert said. I am honored to be joining the athletic department in a full-time capacity. Prior to coming back to Marian in 2010-11, Wiegert made stops at Carroll and UW-Superior as an assistant coach. He graduated from Marian in 2008 with a degree in sport and recreation management and a minor in information technology. Wiegert and his wife, Nicole, currently reside in Fond du Lac.

Ottman, a former Sabre and 2007 graduate, enters his first season as assistant coach for Marians mens and womens tennis teams in 2015. Ottman earned four varsity letters from 2003-07 on the Marian mens team. Ottman, a native of Tomah, Wisconsin, earned his bachelors degree from Marian in Sport & Recreation Management. He lives in Fond du Lac.
