Keegan Wilkinson

Head Coach

Wilkinson was named head coach of the North squad in the 75th  The North defeated the South, 17-13, in the contest.  Wilkinson led the Red Foxes to their winningest season in program history and was named MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 when Marist ended its year ranked 20th in the nation. Marist made its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005 and hosted the first playoff contest in the college's history when the Red Foxes defeated Bryant, 10-6, in a First Four game in front of a record crowd of 1,873 fans in Tenney Stadium. The win was the first NCAA Tournament victory in program history. The Red Foxes hosted and won the Metro Atlantic Atheltic Conference Championship with victories over Monmouth and Quinnipiac, respectively. During the 2015 regular season, Wilkinson helped Marist tie a regular season record with 11 wins and go unbeaten in MAAC play before he was named the conference's Coach of the Year. Three more of his players won major awards as was named Offensive Player of the Year, earned Faceoff Specialist of the Year and was named Long Stick Midfielder of the Year for the third consecutive season. From 2014 to 2015, the Red Foxes were 14th all time in the history of NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse in terms of most improved overall record. So it came as no surprise when Wilkinson was named one of six finalists in the nation for USILA      In Wilkinson's third season as head coach in 2014, he led his Red Foxes to a 6-9 overall record with a 3-3 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference en route to Marist's first MAAC Championship game appearance since 2005. The Red Foxes earned the no. 2 seed following a five-way tie for second place, making their fifth straight MAAC Tournament appearance. Wilkinson produced six All-MAAC Team student-athletes and one major award winner. was named the MAAC Co-Long Stick Midfielder of the Year for the second straight season in addition to All-MAAC First Team honors. , , and joined Eaker on First Team while freshman standout received All-MAAC Second Team and MAAC All-Rookie Team honors. was also named to the All-Rookie Team. Five Red Foxes were also named to the MAAC All-Academic Team: , , , , and . It did not take long for Wilkinson to lead the Red Foxes to success. In just his second season in 2013, Marist finished with a a 10-4 overall record and a 5-1 mark in the MAAC. The Red Foxes registered the most wins since the 2004 season and won a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship with a 5-1 MAAC record. Under his leadership, seven Red Foxes were named to the All-MAAC Postseason Team and three earned major postseason awards. was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, was the MAAC Rookie of the Year and was the Co-Long Stick Midfielder of the Year. Additionally, Wilkinson was honored as the 2013 MAAC Coach of the Year. In his first season at the helm in 2012, Wilkinson guided the Red Foxes to a 6-8 overall record and 3-3 in the MAAC, finishing in a four-way tie for second place. Marist qualified for its third straight MAAC Tournament as the fourth seed based on tiebreakers. Before becoming the head coach, Wilkinson had spent the past four seasons as the program's top assistant, helping guide the Red Foxes to the MAAC Lacrosse League Tournament each of the last two years. During Wilkinson's tenure as an assistant coach, the Red Foxes improved their MAAC record each season. In that time, Marist posted a record of 16-14 in league play. The Red Foxes also had 13 First or Second Team All-MAAC selections, 40 MAAC All-Academic Team selections and one MAAC Rookie of the Year during his tenure. In 2011, Marist had three First Team All-MAAC selections, its highest total in seven years. Wilkinson is a 2006 graduate of Saint Joseph's University, where he was a four-year starter at attack and a two-year captain. A two-time all-conference selection, he was named the Hawks' Offensive Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006, and was named the team's Most Valuable Player in 2006. He led Saint Joseph's in assists and points three times in his career, and finished his collegiate career with 54 goals and 83 assists. He is ranked second on the school's all-time assists list and seventh in career points (137). Wilkinson holds Saint Joseph's single-game assist record, having recorded seven in a contest against Delaware. Wilkinson attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md., where he was a four-time WCAC champion in lacrosse. Dave Scarcello '15

Head Coach

Dave Scarcello was named head coach of the Marist men's lacrosse program on July 10, 2024. Scarcello was initially hired as an assistant coach at his alma mater on June 2, 2018. He was promoted to associate head coach in October of 2023. The 2025 season marks his seventh season on the Marist coaching staff, and his first as head coach. Scarcello had a role in all three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championships won by his predecessor, Keegan Wilkinson, in his 13-year tenure as head coach. Scarcello was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2015 MAAC Championship, when he was the Red Foxes’ starting goalie. He was on Wilkinson’s staff for Marist’s MAAC championships in 2019 and 2023.   Scarcello served as the Red Foxes’ defensive coordinator from 2019-22, and he became offensive coordinator in 2023. In his time as defensive coordinator, he coached a MAAC major award winner (JT Roselle, Long Stick Midfielder of the Year), three First Team All-MAAC selections (Roselle, Kyle Stofko, James Sarrocco), and two Second Team All-MAAC selections (Kurt Wessner, Matthew Selts). In 2023 as offensive coordinator, Jojo Pirreca was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight year as the Red Foxes set a conference record for goals scored in a season with 242. Marist also set a program single-game record with 29 goals in its conference quarterfinal victory over Quinnipiac, which was the highest total in an NCAA game in a quarter century.   In Scarcello’s tenure as an assistant, Marist has a 20-5 record (.800 winning percentage) in MAAC regular-season play. The Red Foxes have won three MAAC regular-season championships, made two NCAA Tournament appearances, and hosted an NCAA game in 2019. The Red Foxes defeated #9/#7 Army in 2020, which is the highest-ranked team Marist has defeated in program history.   Scarcello presented at the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) convention in 2020, and he was included in a group of presentations with other Division I coaches in 2021 that drew nearly 200,000 views online. He has been a positive force in the academic development of his student-athletes, as six have earned Scholar All-American honors.   As a student-athlete, Scarcello was a three-year starter in goal as well as a two-year captain for the Red Foxes. In his senior year, he was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-American and earned the Pizzani Award at Marist’s Senior Awards Banquet. Scarcello was presented with the number 34 in memory of Eddie Coombs, and he was the first player in program history to receive the honor of wearing 34 for an entire season. After winning the MAAC championship, Marist earned its first NCAA win in program history with an opening round triumph over Bryant.   Scarcello began his coaching career at Concordia University Wisconsin, where he worked as an assistant coach in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Serving as defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator, the Falcons went 25-11 in his two years, and won the first regular-season championship in program history in 2017.   In 2018, Scarcello was an assistant coach at VMI, where he was defensive coordinator and worked with the Keydets’ goalies. VMI ranked fifth nationally in caused turnovers per game, with two Keydets finishing in the top six nationally.   A Buffalo native, Scarcello earned his undergraduate degree from Marist in 2015 and majored in Business Administration. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2017.

Tyler Perrelle

Tyler Perrelle enters his season as part of Dave Scarcello's staff for the 2025 season. Perrelle joined the Marist men's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach for the 2025 season as announced by coach Scarcello on August 5, 2024. Perrelle rejoins the Marist staff after serving on the Binghamton men's lacrosse staff since September 2021. A former Bearcat captain, Perrelle came from Marist, where he had served as an assistant on the Red Foxes staff since 2019. Perrelle played a key role in Binghamton’s nine-win 2023 campaign that ended with another postseason appearance. Perrelle also helped develop two All-Americans, Thomas Greenblatt and Kevin Winkoff.   Perrelle graduated from Binghamton in 2013 with a degree in human development after a record-setting career. He tallied a school-record 55 career assists and his 110 career points from the midfield ranks second all-time at Binghamton. Perrelle was an America East All-Rookie (2010) and All-Championship (2011) selection and was team MVP in 2012. He was on the 2013 Preseason Tewaaraton Award Watchlist and played in 56 career games, fourth-most in program history.  Perrelle made his coaching debut at Marywood University, where he served as head coach for four years. There, Perrelle led the Pacers to a pair of conference runner-up finishes and a trip to the ECAC semifinals in 2015. Marywood had a conference win percentage of 71 percent during his tenure - the highest in the history of the Colonial States Athletics Conference.  Perrelle then spent two years as an assistant at Division II University of Tampa, where he coached five All-Americans, a conference player of the year, and seven all-conference players. In 2019, Tampa won its sixth straight Sunshine State Conference title, advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals, and earned a No. 8 national ranking. He coached the team's offense, which produced 309 goals (14.7/game), third-most in the nation.  At Marist, Perrelle helped guide the Red Foxes through two COVID-affected seasons. In the shortened 2020 season, two of the team's wins came against America East squads and the other was a win over ninth-ranked Army - the highest-ranked team Marist has beaten in program history. The 2021 Marist squad went 3-1 in an abbreviated season and reached the MAAC quarterfinals.

JD Colarusso

Assistant Coach

JD Colarusso joins the Marist Men’s lacrosse program ahead of the 2022 season. No stranger to the Hudson River Valley, Colarusso arrives with an expansive resume across high school, collegiate, and professional lacrosse. Most recently, this summer he was the starter for the professional lacrosse team the Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League. Playing with the worlds best lacrosse players, Colarusso helped lead the Atlas to a 4-1 record in his 5 regular season starts and a number 2 seed in the PLL playoffs. Prior to his last two years in the PLL, Colarusso attended the University of Albany where he had an outstanding career. In his first year as a starting goalkeeper he received America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Tournament Team. That same year he led the America East with a 53.6% save rate. In 2018 he helped lead Albany to new heights as a program, guiding them to a number 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and their first Final Four appearance in program history.  For his outstanding work Colarusso, was named the 2018 USILA Most Outstanding Goalkeeper, First Team All-American by USILA and Inside Lacrosse. He was also named to the America East All-Conference First Team and All-Tournament Team. He finished his college career Top-10 in Division 1 in goals against average and save percentage. In High School Colarusso was a local star as a four-year letterwinner in goal at Arlington High where he earned All-America honors as a senior. He was also a First Team MSG Varsity and Poughkeepsie Journal Player of the Year in 2013. He received all section honors his sophomore and junior seasons. He also led Arlington to a league title in 2011. Lastly, Calarusso was a team captain his junior and senior years. Colarusso, who spent the abbreviated 2020 season as an Assistant Coach at SUNY New Paltz, is known as an extremely hard worker, who has the game of lacrosse in his blood. His father, Joe Colarusso, was a standout goalie at Yorktown, which has been one of the top lacrosse programs in Section 1 for decades. Colarusso looks to bring his determination, reliable work ethic and his gritty attitude to the Marist Men’s Lacrosse program for their upcoming season.
