Klarmanns sixth year at the helm of the MHU lacrosse program. During his tenure the Lions have captured the regular season Deep South Championship in 2012 and the SAC Tournament Championship in 2015, compiling an overall record of 43-31. Heading into the upcoming season the squad intends to rebound from a challenging and difficult 2016 experience. Injured players have returned for this comeback year along with young veterans and a talented freshman class, providing much needed depth for 2017. A disciplined and determined team will take the field this time around.

Lange continued his role as the Defensive Coordinator. The Lions were again ranked top 10 in the Country in goals against average (7.47 a game). For the second straight year the Mars Hill defensive unit lead the Deep South Conference in goals against average allowing only 6.43 goals a game. The Lions also ranked fourth in the nation in scoring margin at 5.20 goals a game. Mars Hill won the Deep South Conference regular season title for a third consecutive time, Langes second in a row. In 2011 Lange coached two all-americans, seven All-Deep South Conference performers as well as the Deep South Conference Player of The Year. In his first season as defensive coordinator, the Lions gave up 6.9 goals per game (sixth in the nation), which was also the best in school history. The Lions' man-down unit ranked number one in the country killing off 83.9% of opponents man up opportunities. The Lions finished 10-4 and for the second consecutive year won the Deep South Conference regular season title. Lange Coached three all-americans, six all conference players and the Deep South Conference Player of the Year in 2010. A native of Danbury, Conn., Lange played collegiate lacrosse at Mars Hill as a defenseman from 2004-09. During his time as a player with the Lions, the team won a Deep South Conference tournament championship in 2008 and the regular season title in 2009. In the summer of 2009, Lange represented the USA at the Berlin Open in Germany and led the team to a championship game appearance. Lange graduated in December of 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in physical education and a minor in coaching. Montreat Invitational (at Brevard, N.C.)
