David Carroll
Head Coach
David Carroll enters his second season as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Marymount for the 2025-26 academic year. He began his duties on Sept. 15, 2024. During his first season in 2024-25, Carroll led the men's team to an undefeated conference season securing the Divisional Championship title and advancing to the Crossover Final. Carroll and his staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors while Eshan Degamwar earned Player of the Year and Gunek Singh was the Rookie of the Year. Hana Kimmey, on the women's team, also earned Player of the Year. Seven total Saints from both the men's and women's teams earned all-conference selections. Carroll joins Marymount after previously serving as the assistant tennis coach at Stevenson for three years. In this role, he held a myriad of responsibilities, including skill instruction, recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes, and assisting in all team-related operations such as travel plans. Carroll previously taught 10 years of elementary school in Baltimore City Public Schools and has provided tennis instruction to individuals and groups of all skill levels and abilities at various clubs in the Baltimore area. Prior to teaching, Carroll served as a Prevention Specialist for the Baltimore County Department of Health and as a Wellness Coordinator at The Ohio State University. With over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience, Carroll is passionate about the growth and development of student-athletes through the game of tennis. Originally from Wilmington, Mass., Carroll played Division II tennis at Stonehill College and is a former number-one ranked player in the Mid-Atlantic region. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and philosophy from Stonehill and also received his Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Johns Hopkins.

Scott Farmer
Assistant Coach
Scott Farmer began his stint as a volunteer assistant at Marymount in 2019. After a successful career in the financial industry in both the private and public sector, he returned to his first love of tennis. He has been involved in the Mid-Atlantic area tennis scene for over 25 years. He has competed in leagues and tournaments and was ranked in singles in the Mid-Atlantic region adult divisions. Scott loves to share his experience and enthusiasm through his coaching.

David M. Evinger
Assistant Coach
David Evinger joined his alma mater in the fall of 2019 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for both the men's and women's tennis programs, bringing his valuable experience and expertise to support and mentor the student-athletes. Evinger's journey with Marymount University began in 1994 when he graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance. He continued his academic pursuits and obtained an M.B.A. in 1998, further enhancing his knowledge and skills in the field. During his undergraduate years at Marymount, he was an active member of the tennis team, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport from 1992 to 1994. In 2023, Evinger received the prestigious Halo Award for Distinguished Alumni from Marymount, recognizing his outstanding contributions and achievements in his professional and personal life. He has been actively involved with Marymount over the years, serving on the Board of Visitors for the School of Business Administration from 2013 to 2019. Currently, he holds a position on the Advisory Board for Marymount's College of BILT, continuing to contribute his insights and knowledge to the university's development. Beyond his involvement with Marymount, Evinger remains a completive player in USTA and the Northern Virginia Tennis League, demonstrating his unwavering love for the sport and a commitment to its growth within the community. During the workday, Evinger serves as the President of Chain Bridge Bank, N.A., a nationally chartered bank headquartered in McLean, Va. His leadership and expertise in the finance sector have contributed to the bank's success and growth. A true local, Evinger was born, raised, and educated in Arlington, Va., and graduated from Wakefield High School. Currently, he resides in Oak Hill, Va., staying connected to his roots and giving back to the community he calls home.

Nikki Simhambhatla
Assistant Coach
Nikki Simhambhatla enters her first season as the Marymount University Tennis Graduate Assistant Coach ahead of the 2025–26 season. Returning to Marymount for her second year with the program, she competed as a graduate student-athlete and served as the women’s team captain during the 2024–25 season. She finished the year with an 11-0 singles record, primarily at the No. 2 position, and an 8-2 doubles record, earning First Team Atlantic East honors in both singles and doubles, as well as Atlantic East Player of the Week and All-Academic Team recognition. A 2023 graduate of Sweet Briar College, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. While at Sweet Briar, she was a First Team All-ODAC selection in both singles and doubles, a CSC Academic All-District honoree, and recorded notable wins over NCAA Division I and II opponents. She began her collegiate career at NCAA Division I Western Illinois University, where she led the team in singles victories as a freshman.
