Jake Vaughn
Associate Head Coach
Jake Vaughn is in his third season with Marymount University's women's soccer program. He has worked as an assistant coach the past two seasons where he has assisted in developing the team's game model and provided individual coaching and instruction. Vaughn previously served as Head Coach of the girls' varsity soccer team at Annandale High School, where he led the program to its best record in over a decade in 2023. Under his leadership, the Atoms posted the district's highest-scoring offense and Vaughn was named District Coach of the Year. During his four-year tenure, he coached a Region Player of the Year, District Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, 13 first team all-district players, three second team selections, and 10 honorable mention recipients. Coach Vaughn also spent eight years coaching club soccer with Braddock Road Youth Club, Villarreal-VA, and Infinity SC. His club coaching experience spans multiple states and technical systems. Vaughn holds a USSF C License and Coerver Youth Diploma. He earned a master's degree in education from Regent University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Utah State University.

Cecilia Pogue
Assistant Coach
Cecilia Pogue joined the Marymount University women’s soccer staff as a graduate assistant for the Fall 2025 season. A Woodbridge, Va. native, she grew up playing for NVSC and competed in four years of varsity soccer at Seton School, where she was a team captain, played primarily at right wing with an offensively driven style, and emphasized teamwork and creativity. Pogue earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. While there, she served as a youth psychosocial group leader, gaining valuable experience supporting young people’s mental and emotional well-being, skills she plans to bring to her role with the Marymount women’s soccer team. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Marymount. Passionate about fostering both athletic and personal growth, she strives to help student-athletes develop their skills, confidence, and character on and off the field.
