Glenn Paulus
Head Coach
Paulus is the head coach of both the Saints men's and women's golf teams. He is in his 11th year as the head coach of the men's golf program, and in the summer of 2015, added the duties as head coach of the Saints women's golf team. His 2007 and 2009 men's squads captured the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Championship and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships. The 2009 team took 21st at the NCAA Championships, the best finish in program history. Paulus' 2009-10 squad was selected as Academic National Champions by the Golf Coaches Association of America. In 2006, Paulus' squad boasted one of the top freshman classes in NCAA Division III, including SLIAC Newcomer of the Year, Nick Profancik, who then went on to be crowned SLIAC champion and Player of the Year in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He has coached a two-time PING All-American (Profancik) and two golfers, Profancik and Sam Carlson, have earned Academic All-American honors. Before coming to Maryville, Paulus was a touring professional golfer, competing on the Heartland Players Senior Tour, DP Tour and the Emerald Coast Tour. He was also a finalist in 2001 at the Senior PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament. Paulus' coaching and teaching experience includes two years as an assistant golf coach at St. Louis University and five years as an apprentice PGA Professional at Mid Rivers Golf Links in St. Peters, Mo. Prior to his professional golf career, Paulus spent 25 years in the commercial finance business with ITT Corporation serving in various credit, marketing and management positions, the last five years as Senior Vice President, Division Manager. Paulus, who attended the University of Minnesota, resides in Lake St. Louis, Mo., with his wife, Nancy.

Scott Thomas
Assistant Coach
Thomas had a successful career as an amateur golfer at the local, state and national levels. He won the 1992 Missouri Amateur Championship and the 1995 Missouri Mid-Amateur Championship. In 2008, Thomas won the Missouri Senior Amateur Championship, the St. Louis District Senior Championship and the Metropolitan Senior Amateur Championship. He was named the 1992 Amateur Player of the Year and the 2008 Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Senior Player of the Year. Thomas has won numerous St. Louis Men's District titles and Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association titles as well as competing in ten USGA Championships and six British Amateur Championships. Thomas is a Certified Mental Game Coaching Professional and Chairman of the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Advisory Committee. He continues his work in the information technology staffing and recruiting services industry as Vice-President, Business Development with Innovative Solutions, Inc. Thomas is a 1981 graduate of St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn., and played golf four years, the last two years as team captain. St. Louis Post-Dispatch
