Ethan Senecal

Senecal begins his second season as the Marywood University head men's and women's outdoor track & field/cross country coach in 2016-17. Senecal, who assumed the duties as head coach in July 2015, becomes the second outdoor track & field coach in program history.  In his first season, the Marywood women's cross country team won the CSAC title. He led the men's cross country team to a runner-up finish at CSACs. At the inaugural CSAC championship in men's and women's outdoor track and field, the Pacers took third place. Overall, Senecal oversaw one individual CSAC cross country champion, CSAC Field Athlete of the Year, and five event champions. The women's track and field and women's cross country team won CSAC Team Academic Awards; the latter claiming USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.  A SUNY Brockport alum, Senecal will oversee all aspects of each program in his first head coaching role. Senecal comes to Marywood from SUNY Brockport where he assisted in jumps and multis. Senecal went to Brockport after serving as an interim Assistant Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at the Rochester Institute of Technology where he was involved in the overall scheduling process, travel budgets and coordinating transportation and travel arrengements for teams. Senecal was also involved with event management for all Tiger athletics. While at RIT, Senecal also served as an assistant track and field coach, working extensively with the pole vaulters. Senecal was also an assistant coach for the Rochester Rockback Pole Vault club and the Brockport High School track and field teams. At Brockport, Senecal coached the Golden Eagles to both ECAC and SUNYAC team championships in the outdoor season last year. He coached 36 scorers and five event winners at the 2015 SUNYAC Indoor/Outdoor championships. Thirty four of his athletes tabbed ECAC qualifying times, and he coached an NCAA Division III All-American in the men's heptathlon. In addition, he oversaw NCAA Division III qualifiers in the decathlon, 400 meter intermediate hurdles, 110 hurdles, and 400 relay.  Throughout his collegiate coaching career, he has presided over six NCAA Division III All-Americans, seven ECAC champions, seven SUNYAC champions, 66 SUNYAC scorers, six NYSCTC champions, eight Empire 8 champions, two Penn Relay winners, two USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the Year laurels, and a SUNYAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year.  As a student-athlete, Senecal competed in the decathlon at Brockport.  A Moravia, N.Y. native, Senecal received a Bachelor of Science from Brockport in Physical Education with a concentration in Sport Management and a minor in coaching. He holds USATF Level 1 Coaches Certification. Senecal was a volunteer coach for the Golden Eagle track and field program as well. He completed his Master of Science degree in Athletic Administration from Brockport. Alexis Maylor

Assistant Coach

Maylor joined the Marywood University Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the inaugural 2015 season. Maylor is a Residence Director for Madonna Hall and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Biotechnology.  She is a former track & field athlete at the University of Maine and Delaware Valley College. At Delaware Valley, she was a two-time Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year and was named the conference's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year in 2014. She won the Middle Atlantic Conference pentathlon championship three years in a row (2012-14) and the heptathlon in 2012 and 2014. In 2014, she won the MAC long jump championships.  Maylor twice qualified for the NCAA Division III championships in the heptathlon. She won the ECAC heptathlon championship in 2014 and garnered third in 2013.  She currently holds both the MAC heptathlon and pentathlon records. Maylor set five DVC school records. Her laurels include Delaware Valley College Senior Scholar-Athlete, MAC Century Team, and a two-time Academic All-Area Philadelphia Inquirer.  She graduated from Delaware Valley College in Spring 2014 magna cum laude with a degree in Biology.   Alexis Maylor joined the Marywood University Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the inaugural 2015 season. Kevin Borrelli

Assistant Coach

Borrelli earned five Coach of the Year honors on the women's side and lifted both the womens and mens programs to arguably their best seasons ever.  In 2013, Borrelli took the Women's Cross Country team to the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history.  Marywood recorded the program's highest finish ever at a Regional meet (3rd) and claimed the program's fourth consecutive CSAC title.  In 2012, Borelli guided the women's team to their third-straight CSAC Championship and the program's eighth conference title in the last ten years and an impressive 7th place showing at the NCAA Regional meet. The Pacers have spent multiple weeks in the top-ten of the regional rankings over the past three seasons, ranking as high as fifth in 2011. The men's side also had an outstanding 2012 campaign, finishing in third place after bringing home CSAC Runner-Up hardware in 2011.  Borrelli was named to the Northeast Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.   Coach Borrelli was a standout local runner at Mid Valley where he won three district titles, three state medals, and earned the title of LackawannaCounty runner of the year in 2000 and 2001. He holds school record times of 4:27 in the 1600 and 9:35 in the 3200. Borrelli also enjoyed an outstanding running career at Division I Duquesne University. While at Duquesne, he earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors five times while participating in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and was also named to the IC4A All East Team twice. In 2005 Borrelli helped led the Dukes to there first ever Atlantic 10 Conference Team Championship. Borrelli ended his collegiate career with 3k PR of 8:38, 5k PR of 14:58, 10k PR of 30:42, and cross country PR of 8k 25:09. Coach Borrelli continues to run competitively and win many local road races including: two time Wilkes Barre Triple Crown winner, Lehigh Valley Half Marathon, and Back-to-Back wins in the Steamtown Marathon. Other notable finishes have been two top 15 finishes at Broad Street 10 miler in Philadelphia, two top 7 (diamond winner) at the Run for the Diamonds, and top 30 finishes at the Boilermaker 15k and New Haven 20k (US National championships). Top times include 15k in 48:02, 20k in 1:04:15, Half-Marathon in 1:08:49, Marathon in 2:22:42. In 2014, he finished first at the Greater Binghamton Bridge Half Marathon, second at the Scranton Half Marathon, and third at the Allentown St. Luke's Half Marathon. Borrelli earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Duquesne in 2006 and a masters in instructional technology from Wilkes University and currently teaches 6th grade at Pocono Mountain Clear Water Intermediate School.
