David Andriole
Head Coach
Andriole was named the head coach for the mens team in January of 2015 after serving as the interim head coach during the 2014 season. In two seasons with the Engineers, Andriole has compiled a record of 30-32 and helped MIT to the CWPA Division III Eastern Championship crown in 2014 for the first time since 2010. Andriole has been involved in water polo as a player and coach for more than 30 years, and has played nationally and internationally during that time. In 1995, he was a founding member and player/coach of KAOS Water Polo based in Los Angeles. From 2011 until taking the position at MIT in 2014, he was the head coach of West Hollywood Aquatics Water Polo, and also coached at Westside Aquatics in Palisades, California. A graduate of Yale University where he earned his B.A. in history in 1986, Andriole also earned his J.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1989. While at Yale, he was a varsity water polo player and swimmer, and has helped train and coach its mens and womens club teams.
