Massachusetts Maritime Academy Men's Baseball

Bio Coach Webber joined the Buccaneers in the Fall of 2025to coach the outfield while also working with the hitters.     Before Mass Maritime, Webber spent two years at Dean College, where he served as the Hitting Coach, handling all facets of the offense, as well as being responsible for the outfielders.   In his two years of being in charge of the offense, total runs scored went up by nearly 50, and stolen bases more than doubled. Webber brings playing experience from both Division 2 and Division 3 baseball.  He played his freshman year at Saint Michael’s College, where he set the freshman single-season stolen bases record.  He then transferred to Western New England University, where he was a 4-year starter.  He hit .306 with 5 home runs in his final season at WNE, as well as hitting .500 during the conference tournament.     He graduated from Western New England with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a Master’s of Science in Sport Leadership and Coaching.   Webber is also a 2017 graduate of Bridgton Academy, where he played two years of prep school baseball and was named Defensive Player of the Year and Valedictorian.    

Kelley served for 10 seasons as one of legendary mentor Bob Corradis assistants while overseeing recruitment for the program.  He helped lead Massachusetts Maritime to its first Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference championship in 33 years in 2015, and during his tenure as an assistant coach, a total of 15 players have earned all-conference, all-New England and all-regional accolades.  That carried over to his first season as the head coach, as Mike mentored Logan Sullo '18 to his second straight MASCAC Player of the Year nod. A two-time all-MASCAC performer on the baseball diamond, Kelley batted .400 during his senior campaign of 1999 while serving as a team captain en route to earning the nod as Massachusetts Maritimes Male Athlete of the Year.  Mike sported a career .346 batting average and was team MVP during his final collegiate season, and seven years later he rejoined Corradi in the dugout to begin his tenure as assistant coach. Its an amazing honor to be able to coach a program that I have been a part of for so long, and Im extremely grateful to Coach C and the entire Academy administration for the opportunity of a lifetime, Kelley said of his appointment in 2015.  Success and tradition have played key roles in the growth of the program, and I look forward to both continuing through the hard work and leadership of our cadets for many years to come. Kelley also shined on the football field for Massachusetts Maritime, as he ranks third on the career receiving yards list and was a prolific performer for the Buccaneers over the course of four seasons.  The 2006 Kevin Honkala Award recipient for contributions to the baseball program, Mike was inducted into the Academys Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 10 class honored in 2009. Kelley, who serves in the full-time role as a company officer in Massachusetts Maritimes COMCAD office, resides in Bourne with his wife and their sons, and .  He has served as an assistant to Buccaneer Head Football Coach for the last 11 seasons as well and will continue in that role this fall, with his primary responsibility being defensive backs coach.  Mikes father, , is the longtime Director of Athletics and Head Football Coach at Framingham State University.
