Jordan Levine
Head Coach
Levine was named Associate Director of Athletics and Head Mens Lacrosse Coach on Monday, July 23, 2012, after serving as the Assistant A.D. and Assistant Mens Lacrosse Coach since 2008. In addition to his duties with men's lacrosse, Levine also coordinates the department's recruiting operations, including managing National Letters of Intent and the scholarship budget, and acts as a liaison between athletics and admissions, PACT and financial aid. In four years at the helm of the men's lacrosse program, Levine has led the Mavericks to new heights. He has coached a total of 18 ECC All-Conference selections and one CoSIDA Academic All-American. In 2016 the Mavericks qualified for their second consecutive ECC Playoff appearance and the team received a No. 13 season-ending national ranking. Under the tutelage of Levine, the Mavericks received five All-Conference selections and an ECC Rookie of the Year. In 2015, the Mavericks reached the ECC playoffs for the first time in program history as a No. 3 seed and were ranked as high as No. 10 nationally, ending the season ranked No. 14. Under the leadership of Levine, who was voted the 2015 ECC Coach of the Year, Mercy received a program best six All-Conference honorees and had two student-athletes named to the ECAC Division II All-Star Second Team. The team also earned the colleges first-ever ECC Academic Award of Excellence for having the highest GPA in the sport of mens lacrosse. The 2014 squad set a number of program records, including goals scored and ground balls, while attackman Jesse Wood led the nation in points and points per game. In 2013, the Mavericks tied a program record with 11 wins and finished with four All-Conference selections. Levine's three-year tenure as an assistant coach, which began in the program's inaugural season, saw the team attain its first-ever national ranking in 2011 with multiple players receiving All-Conference and All-America honors. Prior to beginning his professional career, Levine was a standout at the University of Albany, where he was a three-time America East All-Conference First Team member. He helped his team earn a bid to the NCAA Division I Tournament in 2005 and 2007, where the Great Danes upended perennial power Loyola (Md.) in the first round. Levine was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America Second Team as a junior and capped his collegiate career by earning USILA All-America Honorable Mention accolades as a senior. Levine went on to compete in Major League Lacrosse for five seasons as a first-round draft pick by the New Jersey Pride in 2008. Levine was a member of the 2009 World Champion Toronto Nationals and was selected to the MLL All-Star Game in 2009 and 2011. Levine graduated from Manhattanville College with a master of science degree in sport business management in 2012 after earning his bachelor of arts degree in history with a minor in English from Albany. A Bethpage, Long Island native, Levine resides in Nyack, N.Y. with his wife, Francesca and their son, Jackson.

Ryan MacSpadyen
Head Coach
MacSpadyen enters his fourth season as head coach in 2026. Mercy won their sixth straight ECC Regular Season Championship under MacSpadyen's leadership in 2025. The Mavericks went 10-4 overall and 6-0 in ECC play, ending the season ranked No. 16 nationally in the USILA Poll and No. 13 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll. Under MacSpadyen, Owen Stephenson, Jimmy Osorio and Ryan Smith were tabbed USILA All-Americans. Osorio was named ECC Offensive Player of the Year, Stephenson was named Defensive Player of the Year and Cole Hunsberger was named Co-Rookie of the Year. MacSpadyen led the Mavericks to their fifth straight ECC Regular Season and Tournament Championships in his second season as head coach in 2024. The ECC Coach of the Year led Mercy to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season and the Mavericks ended the season ranked No. 6 nationally with a record of 14-2. MacSpadyen oversaw the development of seven USILA All-Americans, highlighted by Jason Kuehner who was named First Team All-American and tabbed the USILA Division II Co Face-Off Player of the Year. MacSpadyen also oversaw a Mavericks squad that was crowned NCAA Statistical Champion for Shot Percentage (.396). MacSpadyen helped develop 10 All-ECC selections, highlighted by Justin Gerdvil who was named ECC Defensive Player of the Year and Cameron Dorfman who was tabbed ECC Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Year. The Mavericks also excelled in the classroom under MacSpadyen's leadership as the team earned the ECC Academic Team of Excellence Award for having the highest team GPA out of all ECC men's lacrosse teams. Tyler Pjatak was also named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Third Team Academic All-American, ECC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the ECC's Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year. MacSpadyen had a successful rookie campaign as a head coach in 2023, leading the Mavericks to a 14-4 record and their fourth straight ECC Championship. The ECC Coach of the Year led Mercy to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season and guided the Mavericks to a national ranking all season. Mercy ended the season ranked No. 10 nationally in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Magazine poll and No. 11 in the Inside Lacrosse poll. MacSpadyen oversaw the development of eight USILA All-Americans, highlighted by Brady Kearnan who was named First Team All-American and was tabbed the USILA North Region Offensive Player of the Year. Kearnan was crowned the NCAA Statistical Champion for points per game and TJ Heyder earned the honor for shot percentage. MacSpadyen also helped develop 11 All-ECC selections, highlighted by Kearnan who was named ECC Offensive Player of the Year, Justin Gerdvil who was named ECC Defensive Player of the Year and Tommy Umano who was tabbed ECC Goalkeeper of the Year. MacSpadyen's leadership not only translated on the field but off the field as well as Jack Kipnes became just the second College Sports Communicators Academic All-American in program history. “Playing four years at Mercy and coaching as a graduate assistant for two seasons I met and learned a lot from my teammates and coaching staff. I am honored to have the opportunity now to give back to a program who has given me so much. I want to thank Jordan Levine and Joe Corace for their dedication to building this program and getting it to where it is today. I also want to thank Matt Kilcullen for giving me the opportunity to keep building this program in the right direction. Lastly, I would like to thank my players and my teammates for believing in me throughout the hiring process,” stated MacSpadyen. “We are thrilled to have Ryan as our next head men’s lacrosse coach,” said Athletic Director Matt Kilcullen Jr. “As a former student-athlete who earned various academic honors while at Mercy and also garnered USILA Academic All-American honors as a junior, Ryan, who also was an assistant coach for 2 years, embodies what our men’s lacrosse program is all about.” MacSpadyen played four years for the Mavericks from 2016-19 and was a member of the team’s first-ever ECC Championship and first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. He currently ranks fourth in program history in goals (133), second in assists (106) and third in points (239). MacSpadyen was twice named an All-American by the USILA and was named ECC Offensive Player of the Year in 2019. The midfielder was named First Team All-ECC three times and was tabbed ECC Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2016. During his senior season, MacSpadyen was named ECC Offensive Player of the Week three times and led the team in points (82) and assists (39) as Mercy won their first ECC Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time. The Mavericks also won a school-record 18 games during the 2019 season. He also helped lead Mercy to the ECC Tournament all four years as a student-athlete. At the conclusion of his playing career with the Mavericks, MacSpadyen served as an assistant coach under Jordan Levine for two seasons. Mercy went 5-1 during the COVID shortened season in 2020 and went 9-1 in 2021 with the Mavericks qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history. MacSpadyen also brings an impressive professional playing career background to the Mavericks. The native of Ontario, Canada was drafted by the Georgia Swarm of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) with the 13th pick in the first round in 2019. He became the first player in program history to be drafted. He has played the last two seasons for the Swarm and played in 18 games last season with four goals, three assists, seven caused turnovers and 38 loose balls. MacSpadyen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate & Homeland Security Management from Mercy College in 2019 and with a master’s degree in Business Administration & Finance from Mercy in 2021. He earned International Honor Society in Business, Delta Mu Delta honors. MacSpadyen was also named to Beta Upsilon Chapter, Mercy College, which is the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Joe Corace
Associate Head Coach
Joseph Corace joined the men’s lacrosse staff prior to the spring 2013 season and joined the women's staff ahead of the 2017 season. Corace was named the 2017 IWLCA Division II Assistant Coach of the Year after helping lead the Mavericks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history in 2017. Corace has coached lacrosse for decades while serving as a technology teacher since 1983. While serving as head coach of the Mahopac High School Boys’ lacrosse team from 1995-2003, he also coached the Hudson Valley Empire State Boys’ lacrosse team in 1989, 1996, 1998 and 2000 and served as the Chairman from 1995-2002. He led the Mahopac HS team to the New York State Class A Championship in 1996 and was named Section 1 Coach of the Year in both 1996 and 2000. He was elected to the Hudson Valley Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2006. Corace also coached football for 30 years at Mahopac HS. He also served on the Hudson Valley Boys’ and Girls’ Lacrosse Coaches Associations. He is a current member of the Westchester/Putnam Technical Education Association and US Lacrosse. Corace earned a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial arts education in 1983 and completed his MS in secondary education at Western Connecticut State in 1989. Joe Corace resides in Mahopac with his wife Jane and daughters Caitlyn, Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Catawba College, Alyssa, and Briana.
