Elaine Schwager
Head Coach
Schwager begins her second year serving as Director of Club Sports at Merrimack College. Schwager oversees and manages all aspects the College's burgeoning club sports department, which offers 15 sports to date and continues to grow each year. In 2016, Schwager would guide the Warriors to a return to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, clinching a berth by posting three wins on the final day of the season. After a tough stretch against some very stiff competition to end March, the Warriors would go 9-1 over there next 10 games and post an 18-7 record in April to advance to the conference tournament. Merrimack finished 2016 with a 24-26 record, including 14-13 in NE-10 play, while Schwager saw Haley Currie selected to the NE-10 All-Conference and NFCA All-East Region First Teams. Schwager also helped a pair of freshman make the NE-10 All-Rookie Team. The former Warrior head coach returned to campus for a second stint this past spring and guided a young squad to the cusp of a playoff berth. Schwager enjoyed a successful six-year run with the program from 2006-11 and was named the 2009 Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year after guiding her squad to a 17-win improvement and a 26-19 overall record. In 2011, Merrimack enjoyed its best season in eight years, finishing 31-23 overall while reaching the Northeast-10 Championship and the NCAA Super Regionals after capturing the NCAA East Region 1 Championship. Schwager also guided Merrimack to an appearance in the NE-10 Championship Final in 2007 and 2009. In over 13 years of coaching, Schwager has amassed a 267-277 record. She notched her 200th career victory in 2009 against Southern New Hampshire. Prior to Merrimack, Schwager was the head softball coach at Suffolk for five years, leading the team to two ECAC New England postseason tournaments.

Hanul Moon
Head Coach
After over a decade as a program, the Merrimack women's swimming team brings diving into the fold. Hanul Moon will be tasked with guiding the diving team in their first season. Moon, who dove at Fordham and formerly coached at Bowdoin College. "I am honored for the opportunity to play a part in building the Merrimack College diving program, said Moon. Being a part of sports teams has shaped who I am today, and I am grateful to be able to share that with a new generation of divers. Diving is such a beautiful sport that requires a mastery of both body and mind. Merrimack College has no shortage of discipline, focus and dedication--the foundations of a great diver!" Moon also had coaching stints with St. John's Prep High School, Solo Aquatics and New York Dive Club.

Jill Gagnon
Head Coach
Former Merrimack standout Jill Gagnon is in her first season as head coach of the Merrimack softball team. Gagnon, a 2009 graduate of Merrimack, comes to Andover from Saint Anselm, where she is the winningest coach in school history with 316 victories in 12 seasons with a .654 winning percentage. She led the Hawks to 10 appearances in the Northeast 10 Tournament in 12 seasons. The Manchester, NH native team's captured the NE10 Tournament championship three times (2019, 2021, 2024), as well as reaching seven NCAA Division-II Tournaments (2015, 2017-2019, 2021-22, 2024). Gagnon's 2018 team won 44 games and finished second in the nation. Her 2019 team won 41 games and the NE10 Championship and her 2021 squad had 33 victories and won the NCAA Division II East Region for the second time in four seasons. "We're thrilled to bring Jill back to her alma mater as our next head softball coach," Foley said. "Jill's resume speaks for itself, she has had tremendous success as a head coach. Her leadership, and deep understanding of the Merrimack culture make her uniquely qualified to guide our program. Her track record at Saint Anselm, coupled with her passion for our values and mission, aligns perfectly with where we want this program to go." "I am very grateful and humbled to have this opportunity to come back to Merrimack where my softball journey ultimately began," Gagnon said. "I'd like to thank President Hopey, Director of Athletics Joe Foley and the entire athletics administration staff for believing in my ability to take this program to the next level. As an alum and someone who has great passion for this community, I'm excited at the challenge that lies ahead and I can't wait to get to work with our student-athletes as we build something that our alumni, families, and the community can be proud of. It's great to be home." Gagnon earned Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year awards in 2018 and 2021, and her staff was named the NFCA Division II East Region Coaching Staff of the Year. She also served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Sport Administration and Camps & Clinics at Saint Anselm. Before taking over as the head coach, Gagnon was an assistant coach of the Hawks in 2013. Prior to arriving on the Hilltop, Gagnon served as a pitching coach for UMass Boston from 2010-12 and was part of a coaching staff that led the Beacons to their first LEC Conference Tournament appearance in program history. Gagnon played for Merrimack from 2006-09, where she was a First Team All-NE10 selection and selected to the NE10 All-Championship Team and was also named NFCA All-American East Region First Team as a senior in 2009. Gagnon currently resides in Andover, MA.

Erin Cammann
Head Coach
Erin Cammann completed her tenth year as the Merrimack College Head Women's Swimming Coach after the 2024-2025. Merrimack finished the 2024-25 season with a 2-5 record in their first season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Cammann helped lead the Warriors to wins Wellesley College and Stonehill. She has also guided numerous swimmers into school breaking records across a handful of events throughout the past few seasons. While in the 2023-2024 season, Merrimack held a 4-3 record with impressive finishes in the Gompei Invitational as well the Northeast Conference Championship. Cammann aided in wins over Stonehill, Assumption and Simmons throughout the campaign. She saw multiple swimmers shatter school records including Neva Sa and Olivia Conlan. Merrimack continued to grow in its NCAA Division I reclassification process during the 2021-22 season. After a pandemic shortened 2020-21 campaign, the Warriors enjoyed a more traditional season, which culminated with an appearance at the 2022 NEC Championship. Cammann's group had quite the highlight at the year-ending event, as Skylar Pemberton broke the school record in the 50 butterfly with a blazing 27.37 time. The 2020-21 campaign was shortened to just one dual and the NEC Championship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Cammann and the Warriors capped the year in the team's second ever appearance at the championship meet in late-March. The highlight of the meet came from Jordan Clements, who broke the school record in the 100 Fly with a time of 58.26 on the first day. During the 2019-20 campaign, Merrimack's first at Division I, the team notched a pair of dual wins over Simmons and Saint Michael's, then wrapped up the winter with the team's first appearance at the NEC Championship, where they claimed ninth. The program record books had a lot of shifting, as two relay and three individual records were broken. Clements had a pair (100 Breast and 200 Fly), while Lucia Quesada Nylen broke the record in the 100 Free. In Merrimack's final season before the move to Division I in 2018-19, the program finished seventh in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The Warriors hosted two home meets and, speare-headed by Cammann, hosted its first-ever senior day meet - honoring both alumni and current seniors. The 2017-18 season saw Cammann lead the Warriors through an 11-meet slate, that included the first-ever home meet at the Andover YMCA and thea team's first dual-meet victories. The season culminated with a sixth-place finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, the highest finish in the program's history. Along the way, the Navy and Gold broke 14 individual team records and also rewrote every relay record. Prior to Merrimack, Cammann amassed over 15 years of experience coaching at almost every level of competitive swimming. Most recently, she had served as the head swim coach for the boys and girls programs at North Andover High School. Cammann obtained her Master’s Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University in 1995 after earning a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from Yale in 1992, where she was a member of the varsity volleyball and swim teams. Cammann currently resides in Andover, Massachusetts.

Alyssa DiMauro
Assistant Coach
Alyssa DiMauro is in her first season as an assistant softball coach at Merrimack College, having followed head coach Jill Gagnon from Saint Anselm. DiMauro spent one season as an assistant at Saint Anselm, helping the Hawks to a 23-16 record and an Northeast-10 Tournament berth. Before joining Gagnon’s coaching staff at Saint Anselm, DiMaura played four years at Southern New Hampshire. She was a Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman and was an All-Conference Second Team pick in 2023. DiMauro appeared in 155 games for the Penmen in her career, batting .285 with 139 hits in four seasons. DiMauro also excelled as a scholar. In the classroom, she earned a spot on the Southern New Hampshire President's List and was a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection. The Chester, NH native has contributed on the diamond as a coach with several youth programs. She has spent time previously working with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Youth Clinic and as an assistant coach for the NH Comets softball program based in Concord.
