Chad Miller

Head Coach

Miller has spent the last five seasons as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the elite Cape Cod Summer League. Initially hired to build a roster of 30 top NCAA Division I professional baseball prospects, he helped lead the team to a No.1 ranking in national summer baseball polls, the most wins in the league, and the first division championship in franchise history. Miller has also excelled as a top-level talent evaluator. Most recently, he served as Associate Professional Baseball Scout for Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals. While there he identified and evaluated professional baseball prospects to play at the major league level. His duties also included planning and executing tryout camps, administering skills testing evaluations, and identifying high-level talent. In addition to building championships on the collegiate diamond, Miller has made a lasting positive impact throughout the community. He helped create and facilitate the largest instructional fall baseball league in Western Wisconsin for players in grades 1-12. He also initiated relationships with community partners that resulted in youth camps, leagues, and volunteer coaching for 450 of the area's youth baseball and softball players. Miller holds a bachelor degree from Viterbo University and a Master's of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from University of Wisconsin La Crosse. 2016 GPAC Coach of the Year Adam Steyer is in his second season as an assistant coach on the Warrior baseball staff. Steyer serves as a head coach and recruiting coordinator for the Omaha Diamond Spirit that participates in the M.I.N.K summer collegiate baseball league. In 2009, Steyer received the M.I.N.K Coach-of-the-year honors winning division titles both years with an automatic berth to the National Baseball Congress World Series. From 2006-2010, Steyer served as an assistant coach Bellevue University. Steyer worked with the infield and filled the role as the hitting coach for the Bruins. Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, Steyer led the Millard West High School and American Legion baseball programs while also serving on the football staff. Steyer played collegiate baseball at Butler Community College in Eldorado, Kan. for two years before suffering a career-ending arm injury.  Jake is making the transition from player to coach during the 2016 season for the Warriors. After a successful four-year career at Midland University he joined the staff. He earned his bachelors degree is human performance fitness and sports management in 2015. He is currently working on his masters in education. The former Omaha Westside High School standout was a four-year starter at second base for the Warriors. During his senior season he hit for a .295 average with 13 doubles and 3 homeruns. In the field he had a .960 fielding percentage and was named a Hauff Mid-America Sports Gold Glove winner for the second straight year. He was also an All-GPAC Honorable Mention his final year after being a Second Team member as a junior. Loftus was a member of the Warriors record-breaking season as a junior in 2014. Midland set 26 new records that season including a program-best 43 wins. Loftus set the single-season marks for walks (38) and sacrifices (16) that year. He also holds career Warrior records for sacrifices (33) and hit by pitch (59). Ian joins the coaching staff after four years as a player at Midland University. During his four years as a Warrior he appeared in 98 games making 70 starts at various positions. Primarily a third baseman, he batted .254 in 44 games as a senior. He posted career highs in 2015 in RBI (11) and runs scored (18). Nick owned a career .920 fielding percentage. Coach Nick is a native of Fremont, Nebraska and is a 2011 graduate of Fremont High.
