Head Coach
Young coached Anderson to finish fourth in the 10k earning her a second All-America honor. Anderson shattered several records, including two of Jennings' records. Anderson became the second Marauder behind Jennings to qualify for and earn All America status in all three seasons of cross country, indoor and outdoor track during 2012 when she placed sixth in the 5K at the indoor championship. While Jennings and Anderson starred in distance events, Allen and Madison dominated the PSAC in sprints in hurdles of the course of four seasons (2012-16). Allen was an indoor and outdoor NCAA Division II Championships qualifier, scoring All-America honors with an eighth-place finish 2015 60-meter dash. Allen won the PSAC Championship in the 100-meter dash three consecutive seasons from 2014-16. Her 2016 win in the indoor 60 made her the first Marauder sprinter to ever win an indoor PSAC Championship. Allen set the school's 60-meter dash record in 2015 (7.53). She also posted the No. 2 100-meter dash time and the No. 3 200-meter dash time. Madison established herself as arguably the top hurdler in Millersville history, setting the program record in the 400-meter hurdles (59.77) in 2015 and posting the second-fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles. Madison was a two-time national qualifier, reaching the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400 hurdles in both 2015 and 2016. She won the event twice at the PSAC Outdoor Championships, and in 2016, she was voted the track and overall meet MVP after winning both hurdle events. Youngs teams have excelled in the classroom as well. For the last 10 years, the women's cross country team has earned the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award with the womens track and field team winning it nine of the last 10 years. 56 individuals and 23 teams between men and women have been honored for their academic and athletic achievements by USTFCCCA during Youngs tenure at Millersville. The former head coach for mens and womens cross country and track and field at LIU Post (1997-2004), His womens teams captured three conference titles in cross country (1997, 1998, 2003) three indoor titles (1999, 2003, 2004) and two outdoor titles (2003, 2004). His mens team won an indoor title in 2004. Young is certified as a USTFCCCA combined event specialist and a USATF Level II Coach for endurance. He served two years as the PSAC Conference representative to USTFCCCA as well as two years as the womens regional and national cross country ranker for USTFCCCA and also helped write the USTFCCCA D2 coaches code of conduct. Brittany Hartman
Assistant Coach
Hartman, a 2008 graduate of Millersville, joined the track and field program as an assistant coach in the 2009-10 season. She previously served as a student assistant for the squad. Hartman was a four-year member of the track and field team at Millersville where she participated in throwing events. She also served as team captain during her junior year. Currently working as a lab technician for the metals studio in Breidenstine, Hartman will also assist the track and field program with throwing and jumping, in addition to providing assistance in the weight room. Hartman graduated with a bachelors degree of fine arts in art and a metals concentration, with a minor in athletic coaching. She is currently working on her master's of education in sports management with a concentration in athletic coaching.Brittany Hartman
