Head Coach
The long-time head coach of the Millsaps baseball team, Jim Page began his tenure in 1989. He was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame on July 29, 2023. Page is an eight-time conference coach of the year and the 2013 South Region Coach of the Year. In 35 years at the helm following the 2023 season, the Majors have posted an impressive 837-577-3 record, a winning percentage of .592. His 35-year career in the Majors' dugout has included nine conference championships, eight NCAA regional berths and one NCAA College World Series appearance in 2013. He has been named the conference coach of the year eight times and was named the NCAA Division III South Region Coach of the Year in 2013. Page most recently was tabbed the SAA Coach of the Year in 2022. Following the 2023 season, Coach Page sits ninth among active NCAA Division III coaches, and 35th on the all-time NCAA DIII wins list. Around the Magnolia State, Page was ranked fifth all-time in career collegiate baseball coaching wins behind Ron Polk, Hill Denson, Mike Kinnison and Mike Bianco. Page tallied his 800th win against Eureka College on Feb. 26, 2022. He picked up career win number 750 with a doubleheader sweep of Rhodes College on March 3, 2018. Prior to that, Page earned his 700th career win at the 2015 South Regional with a 7-6 win over Whitworth College. His 2013 team made the College World Series for the first time in school history and finished the season ranked eighth in the nation. On April 14, 2009 his Majors became the first ever program in Millsaps’ history to be ranked number one in the nation after starting the season 19-1. His teams claimed a record five consecutive conference championships from 1990-94 and their first two NCAA regional appearances in the 1995-96 seasons. The 1996 team also led the nation in doubles and finished ranked 19th in the country. Page played his college ball at Millsaps from 1981-85 under head coach Tommy Ranager, who in turn, was elected into the Millsaps Hall of Fame in 1998 alongside Page. Page not only earned MVP honors his sophomore and senior seasons, but was named team captain as well. In Page’s senior season, he hit a blistering .487 from the plate, a record that still stands today. During his tenure, he has coached 30 All-South Region players, 11 Conference Players of the Year, 10 American Baseball Coaches’ All-Americans, seven D3baseball.com All-Americans and five Conference Pitchers of the Year. In total, eight of his players have gone on to play professionally. Page and his wife Cindy have two daughters, Caitlyn and Jamie Blair, along with two sons, Keaton and Case. Caitlyn, Jamie Blair and Keaton are Millsaps graduates, while Case is entering his senior season with the Millsaps baseball team. Doug Fortenberry
Assistant Coach
Doug Fortenberry returned to the Millsaps College coaching staff in August of 2020. He had worked on the Majors' staff from 2006-2014 and then again from 2017-19 as an Outfield Instructor. During his first stint in Jackson the team won a program-record 38 games during the 2013 season, winning a NCAA Regional Championship and advancing to the College World Series. Fortenberry was on staff for other program highlights such as the earning the No. 1 national ranking during 2009 and conference tournament championships in 2006 and 2013. Under his direction: two outfielders signed professional contracts, four outfielders earned All-American recognition, six outfielders earned All-Region honors, 18 outfielders were named All-Conference, one outfielder was named the South Region Player of the Year, and one outfielder earned a South Region Gold Glove Award. Prior to joining the coaching staff at Millsaps, Fortenberry worked as the Hitting Instructor at Hinds Community College from 1996-1998, 2003-2005, and 2015-2016. During his time in Raymond: three players were named All-State, four players were named All-Region and one player was offered a professional baseball contract. The Eagles played in the Region XXIII Tournament all three seasons, and went on to make their first Mississippi JUCO State Tournament appearance in nearly ten years. During the era from 1996-1998 the team tied or broke six different school hitting records and the 2015 team held the No. 1 spot in the national rankings for the majority of the season, winning a state championship and ending the season at No. 5. Fortenberry also has prior experience at Mississippi College were he helped lead the Choctaws to the the school's first American Southwest Conference Tournament appearance in 2001. From 1999-2000 he was an Outfield Instructor at staff at the University of Mississippi. In 1999 the Rebels were ranked as high as No. 20 in the country and made the school's first regional appearance since 1995. He had one outfielder earn All-SEC honors, and four outfielders get the chance to play professional baseball. Fortenberry holds his Bachelor of Science in Biology Education from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Case Page
Assistant Coach
The Millsaps baseball team added familiar face to their coaching staff in August 2025. After successful careers on the diamond, Page joins the Millsaps baseball staff as an assistant coach. The Flowood, Miss., native spent five seasons with the Majors, where he was a three-time All-Conference player (2022, 2023, 2025) and appeared in the most games ever as a Major, totaling 190. During his time on the diamond, Page made 156 consecutive starts, counted as a school record as well. Page finished his collegiate baseball career with 123 RBIs, 98 runs, 171 hits, 32 doubles, and five home runs. Last season, he helped lead the Majors to a No. 23 national ranking in Division III baseball and secured the SAA Regular Season crown. As a starting first baseman, Page also aided the Majors in getting a spot in the 2025 NCAA Baseball Championship for the first time since 2015. Outside of baseball, Page was a three-time member of the Spring Academic Honor Roll. Page owns an MBA and dedicated his time at Millsaps as a Sports Information intern. He was also a squad coach for eight years at the Millsaps Champions baseball camp. Mentoring the younger generation, he spent the summer of 2025 as a 14U coach for the Knights Knation baseball team in Mandeville, La.

Nathan Chilton
Assistant Coach
The Millsaps baseball team added familiar face to their coaching staff in August of 2025. After successful careers on the diamond, Nathan Chilton joined the program as an assistant coach. Spending six seasons on the ball field, Chilton appeared in 100 games while making 40 starts for the Majors. He saw three doubles, two home runs, 25 RBIs, and a pair of stolen bases. Following his success at Millsaps, Chilton was a member of Club 40, a 2023 Spring SAA Academic Honor Roll as a scholar-athlete, and a member of the 2023-24 SAA Winter/Spring All-Sportsmanship Team. In July of 2024, Chilton began working at Slidell High School as the lead assistant coach and social media/marketing manager. Chilton coached the team to a third-round playoff position and was a 5A high school team that set a school record for wins and earned a Co-District Championship for the first time in 20 years. Chilton's duties included working day-to-day as the hitting and catching coach, where he assisted the infielders while running all social media accounts and managing online presence. He is still active in the social media role now with the Majors. Before working at Slidell High School, Chilton spent two years as an executive assistant for Kinetic Staffing in Ridgeland, Miss. He helped handle extra or extraneous projects that needed assistance while mainly specializing in spreadsheets and other document creation and management. Chilton also worked as a courier and completed office errands. Prior to becoming a lead assistant coach at Slidell High School, Chilton was a volunteer assistant and assistant recruiting coordinator for the Millsaps baseball team during May and June of 2024. In 2022, Chilton completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration, and in 2024 received his master's degree in Business Administration as well.
