Joe Meloy
Head Coach
Meloy is regarded as a founding father of MSOE athletics, having started the Raider men's golf program as one of the first intercollegiate sports at the university in 1976. He has made the men's golf program the most successful in school history, winning 13 conference titles, including the first nine Lake Michigan Conference crowns from 1983-92. He has also led the Raiders to an LMC title in 2004, before continuing the program's success in the NACC. He led MSOE to a championship in its first year in the new conference in 2008 and has added subsequent titles in 2009 and 2013. Since MSOE joined the NCAA in 1993, he has guided the Raiders to three NCAA Championship meets--2009, 2011 and 2013. For is efforts, he has been named Conference Coach of the Year 13 times and was inducted into the MSOE Athletic Hall of Fame in January 1998. Meloy also has seen his own game flourish. He is a former Milwaukee district champion and a state runner-up in amateur match play. Today, he holds a five handicap and is a member of the Brown Deer Men's Club. Away from the course, Meloy serves as the Director of Counseling Services at MSOE. He earned is undergraduate degree from Wisconsin in 1972. In 1975, he earned his master's degree in counseling psychology.
