Mohawk Valley Community College Men's Baseball

Warren has been a full time employee of MVCC since December of 1997 as the Assistant to the Director of Athletics. A native of Mohawk N.Y. Dave was a three sport athlete at Gregory B. Jarvis High School excelling in football and baseball, earning All-League honors in both sports. Coach Warren is one of only a select few athletes from the school to ever be named as a baseball All-Star for three consecutive years. Coach Warren moved on to Herkimer CCC to play for former MVCC Coach Joe Milazzo. While with the Generals Coach Warren accumulated a two-year batting average of .360 as a leadoff hitter and centerfielder to go along with All-Region and All New York State JUCO honors. He was also nominated as an Academic All-American while being named as HCCC's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year with a 3.81 grade point average. Dave finished his career at SUNY Cortland where he earned a degree in Physical Education to go along with a Management minor and a Coaching concentration. Coach Warren was named as the Region III and Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2004. He has assisted many of his student athletes on to four-year colleges. Mr. Warren has had 11 student-athletes achieve NJCAA Academic All-American status and 3 of his former players have signed professional contracts including 2013 MLB All-Star Patrick Corbin.  He ended the 2016 season with 270 career wins as the MVCC Baseball Coach which ranks him first in MVCC Baseball History. Joe Scalise is a 1996 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Utica, NY. He played varsity baseball for Notre Dame and was part of the 1995 Section III champs who went on to the New York State Final Four. After high school he went on to play at Onondaga Community College where he received the Co-Coach's Award for first year players and was awarded MVP honors in his second year. Coach Scalise went on to SUNY Buffalo where he received a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and another BS in Physical Therapy in 2002. He now enjoys a successful career as a PT for VNA of Central New York and holds multiple per diem PT positions.
