Bill Dunn

Head Coach

Bill Dunn will enter his fifth season at the helm of the cardinal and white in 2026.  The Lions had a record-setting 2025 season, spending nearly the entire season ranked among the top-20 in the nation according to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, before winning the program's first-ever East Coast Conference Championship. Appearing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time, Molloy advanced to the Quarterfinal round of the tournament as one of the top eight teams in the country. Dunn was awarded the ECC's Coach of the Year for his successful season and the Lions nearly swept all major awards with the league's Goalkeeper of the Year in Christian Michaels and Rookie of the Year in Aiden Dinnigan. In total, Molloy had eight All-ECC selections, and seven named both All-Region and All-Americans by the USILA.  Since taking charge of the men's lacrosse program at Molloy, Dunn's teams have qualified for the ECC Championship all four seasons. He has led Molloy to a total of 20 All-ECC selections, 12 USILA All-Region nods, and nine lauded as All-Americans by the USILA. Under his tutelage, 80 Bears were received All-Conference selection and 60 were deemed All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, including the Player, Attackman, and Long Pole Midfielder of the Year honors in 2014. In his time at New York Tech, Dunn also served as a part of the Athletic Department's academic mentoring program and helped to guide his team to a 3.30 GPA during his tenure, served as a member of the NCAA Division II Poll Committee, All-American Committee, and Coaches Connection Committee.  Prior to taking charge of the Bears in 2010, Dunn spent 12 seasons as an assistant coach for then-New York Institute of Technology, a time in which the program won three NCAA National Championships and appeared in seven NCAA Tournaments. The Holbrook, N.Y. native spent much of his efforts working with the Bears' defense and goaltenders, helping him to earn the IMCLA Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2007. A former student-athlete himself, Dunn played men's lacrosse for SUNY Cortland, where he graduated with a degree in education, for four seasons, which featured three-straight SUNYAC Championshpis, three NCAA Tournament appearances, advancing to the National Championship once. He would go on to earn a Master's in physical education with a concentration in sports management from Adelphi University.  A career educator, Dunn taught physical education and coached lacrosse and football at a number of local high schools, including founding the boy's lacrosse program at Kellenberg Memorial High School, leading the Firebirds to the Catholic High School Athletic Association finals on three occasions and earning two CHSAA Coach and Man of the Year awards.   Year Overall W-L Conference W-L Postseason Finish 2022 7-10 4-2 ECC Tournament 2023 9-9 4-2 ECC Tournament 2024 8-10 3-3 ECC Tournament 2025 16-5 5-1 ECC Champions; NCAA Quarterfinalist Career 40-34 16-8

Bernard Dell'Aquila

Assistant Coach

Dell'Aquila will enter his second season as the head coach of the Molloy College men's lacrosse team in the 2016-17 season. Dell'Aquila's first stint as head coach proved successful as the Lions compiled a 10-5 overall record, spending much of the season inside the USILA Top 20 rankings. Four players from the team---attackman Kevin Teresky, midfielders Peter Clark and Austin Valenti, and defenseman Jaron Greenidge---were named All-ECC Third Team honorees. On June 10, 2015, Molloy College Director of Athletics announced that Dell'Aquila had been promoted and named the new Lions' head men's lacrosse coach. Dell'Aquila had previously served as an assistant coach since 2013. Before coming to Molloy during the 2012-13 athletic year, Dell'Aquila was the defensive coordinator of the Walt Whitman High School varsity lacrosse squad for a season. From 2007-10, Dell'Aquila guided the East Meadow High School varsity lacrosse team -- a perennial Class A Tournament qualifier in his tenure. In his third season at the helm, he was honored as the Conference I Coach of the Year. From 2004-07, Dell'Aquila worked at North Shore High School as head coach of the varsity lacrosse team (2005-06), and head coach of the junior varsity football team (2004-07). Since 1997, Dell'Aquila has served as a physical education teacher within the Hicksville Public School system. At the high school level, he has held positions of strength and conditioning coach (2000-04), defensive coordinator of the varsity lacrosse team (2000-03), and head coach of the varsity football team (2000-04). Dell'Aquila earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. John's University in 1987 and a Master of Arts degree in Physical Education from Adelphi University in 1992. Dell'Aquila currently resides in Greenlawn, N.Y. Returning from last year and staying on as assistant coaches on Coach Dell'Aquila's staff will be and .

Tim McCabe

Assistant Coach

McCabe joined the men's lacrosse coaching staff ahead of the 2022 season with an emphasis on the defense and recruiting.  He previously spent four seasons as the head coach at Suffolk Community College, helping develop the team to its highest national ranking (#7) in a decade, where he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the program including fundraising, practice and game development, recruiting, and student retention. He took the helm after six years as an assistant with the program. Under his guidance, nine were named to Academic All-Region lists as well as three Academic All-Americans.  McCabe has also served as a club lacrosse coach since 2010, spending time with Havoc Dune Dawgs, Legacy, 91, and United.  McCabe spent two seasons on the lacrosse team at Stony Brook.
