Keely Coco
Assistant Coach
Coco enters her fifth year as the head coach of the Molloy women's cross country team, and fourth year with the indoor and outdoor track and field squads. She brings an impressive resume to the coaching staff of the Lions. Coco graduated from Villanova University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. While running track and field for the Wildcats, she held the school record in the pole vault, and placed fifth at the Big East Championships in 2000. The Wildcats won the Big East Championship that same year. Aside from a four-year career with the Wildcats track and field teams, Coco was also a member of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Upon graduation, Coco was commissioned into the United States Navy, where she was stationed in Norfolk, Va. and assigned to the USS Leyte Gulf. During her career with the Navy, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was awarded twoNavy and Marine Corps achievement medals. She was deployed to the Gulf and directly contributed to operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. Prior to college, Coco split her high school years between San Diego, Calif. and Maryland. In her junior and senior years in Maryland, Coco was the region and county champion for the pole vault. She placed third at the Maryland Championships. Coco also has her Masters of Science in Education with a specialty in school counseling from nearby Hofstra University, where she graduated in May of 2008. Aside from coaching at Molloy, Coco also spent time at Oceanside High School. She was the assistant coach for the girls indoor and outdoor track and field teams. Coco currently resides in Lynbrook, N.Y. with her husband, Ryan.
