Todd Skrivseth
Head Coach
Skrivseth was named the 26th head coach in the history of the mens basketball program at Monmouth in 2011. Now in his sixth season, Skrivseth has returned the Scots to a force in the Midwest Conference. The 2014-15 team surged to a 16-8 record and finished second in the league while completing a 9-1/2 game turnaround from the previous season to qualify for the four-team conference championships. It was the program's first tournament appearance in 16 years. At the beginning of the 2015-16 season, the Fighting Scots men's were picked second in the pre-season coaches poll. Skrivseth's strong work ethic and high standards have rubbed off on his players as the team earned two spots on the 2015-16 all-conference team. The squad also experienced a first when Andrew Mathison was named all-region during the 2014-15 season, becoming the first men's basketball Scot to earn that distinction. The Maquoketa, Iowa, native who earned his undergradaute degree in 1996 from then-conference rival Coe College, resides in Monmouth with his wife Sarah, an All-American track athlete in her college days, and their three children.
