Monmouth College Men's Swimming

Burek is now in his fourth season guiding the Fighting Scots swimming and diving teams. The former assistant was promoted to Director of Aquatics and Head Swim Coach at the beginning of the 2013-14 season. Bureks vast experience, attention to detail and race strategy provides the Scots with valuable insight to developing their skills. A retired Illinois State Trooper, Burek has previous coaching experience with college and club programs. Since Burek's arrival, the Scots have experienced unparalleled success, especially in the diving well where they've qualified a women's diver for the NCAA Regionals in Burek's first two seasons. The swim team hasn't disappointed either, rewriting the record book each season. Burek, who also serves as the assistant water polo coach, oversees all aspects of Monmouth's aquatics programs.

Ollis, an All-American in his playing days, enters his second season at the helm of Fighting Scots water polo.       A four-time all-conference performer at Virginia Tech, Ollis approaches practices in much the same manner as a classroom setting, routinely pop quizzing his team to ensure they understand the purpose and are progressing with each drill. That philosophy is mirrored in the classroom, where his team is required to put in the same dedicated effort in the pursuit of their degree.       Ollis, who will also serve Monmouth as the assistant coach for swimming and diving, earned his undergraduate degree in sociology and psychology from Virginia Tech and his masters in cybersecurity from Utica.
