Allen Edwards

Allen Edwards serves as the General Manager of Football at Morehouse College, where he plays a vital role in the overall operation, strategy, and success of the Maroon Tigers football program. With a focus on leadership, structure, and student-athlete development, Edwards works closely with the coaching staff to manage day-to-day logistics, recruiting operations, player personnel, and program administration. Widely respected for his organizational leadership and team-first mentality, Edwards oversees a broad range of responsibilities including prospect outreach, official visit coordination, camp planning, compliance tracking, and housing logistics. His ability to connect with players, coaches, parents, and campus departments ensures a smooth and unified approach to program-building. Allen brings a holistic philosophy to the role—emphasizing discipline, academic accountability, and personal growth. His work has helped Morehouse strengthen its recruiting network, improve program efficiency, and create a positive culture for student-athletes on and off the field. Off the field, Edwards is a devoted husband and father. He is married to his wife, Christina Edwards. Together they have three sons—Jaeden, Jace, and Christian—who inspire his daily commitment to mentorship and excellence.

Lorenzo Dantzler

Lorenzo Dantzler serves as Defensive Line Coach for Morehouse College, bringing a championship background and proven experience developing defensive talent at both the collegiate and junior college levels. Prior to joining the staff, Dantzler coached the defensive line at San Joaquin Delta College for two seasons, helping lead the program to its first bowl game appearance since 2010. During that time, Dantzler helped develop Jaiden Crawford and coached three All-Conference defensive linemen, including one unanimous selection and one honorable mention honoree. Before entering coaching, Dantzler was one of the most accomplished defensive players in the history of University of Texas at San Antonio football. A four-year starter on the defensive line, Dantzler earned postseason All-Conference honors in all four seasons and was a member of the program’s first conference championship team. Prior to UTSA, Dantzler played at East Mississippi Community College, where he helped the program capture both a state championship and a national championship. Dantzler originally signed with the University of Southern Mississippi out of high school before transferring to EMCC. A native of Starkville, Dantzler was an All-State and All-Region defensive lineman in high school and finished as the runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year during his senior season. Dantzler also helped lead his high school program to state championships as both a freshman and again in 2015.

Dee Brown

Former NFL running back Dee Brown formerly served at University of North Carolina Charlotte as the Director of Player Development for football. Brown's role oversaw the holistic growth and development of the 49ers 100-plus member football roster where he was involved in academic support, life skills training, life after football, and the program's community service efforts. Through Brown's efforts, Charlotte's player were able to secure internship opportunities at Bank of America, Lowe's, CAP Insurance, Northwestern Mutual, Ten Oaks Financial, among many others. Summer programming for student-athletes has included a professional profile series where the 49ers have been able to develop key professional skills such as resume building, training for interviews, budgeting, and dressing for success. Prior to arriving back in Charlotte, the former Carolina Panther spent two seasons at Campbell where he served as the Associate Head Coach and oversaw the quarterbacks and offensive recruiting efforts, working alongside his former teammate Mike Minter. The Camels ranked No. 6 nationally in red zone touchdowns in 2023 and No. 12 nationally in third down conversion rate despite finishing No. 98 in time of possession. Brown's top pupil, quarterback Hajj Malik Williams enjoyed a record-breaking year, throwing for 2,609 yards and 19 touchdowns while completing 71 percent of his passes, the No. 3 mark in the FCS. On the recruiting trail, the 2023 recruiting class was the top ranked class in the Football Championship Subdivision. Brown also served as the program's academic liasion, resulting in 51 percent of the team being named to the department's honor roll in the Fall 2023 semester. Brown served as Campbell's running backs coach in 2022, not only helping the Camels post a record-breaking passing attack, but coaching Bryant Barr to a breakout All-Big South season. Prior to Campbell, Brown was the offensive coordinator for Livingstone College in 2021. Accepting the position on the first day of fall camp, Brown had little time to implement his entire offense but was able to still produce 2,000 yards passing and a two-time conference Back of the Week, despite starting three walk-ons and two freshmen. Before joining the college ranks, Brown served as head coach for West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Fla., and at Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte, where he led his teams to two state championships (2012, 2014) and three title game appearances. He also made coaching stops in the Charlotte area as offensive coordinator at Rocky River High School as well as an assistant coach at Lake Norman High and West Mecklenburg High. Brown started his coaching career with the Denver Broncos under then-head coach Josh McDaniels. In Denver, Brown assisted the special teams coordinators and the running backs coach in day-to-day activities and execution of the practice and game plans. Professionally, Brown enjoyed a six-year NFL career, playing for four different organizations after being selected by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round of the 2001 draft. Brown also suited up for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs. Brown played four seasons collegiately at Syracuse, rushing for 1,031 yards in 2000 and finishing his career #2 All-Time at SU in career touchdowns. Brown earned his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse in 2000 with a B.S. in Psychology . While at Syracuse, he was a part of teams that earned the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Achievement Award for having the highest graduation rate among Division I programs in the country. He is also a graduate of Walden University with a M.S. in counseling/clinical therapy. He was a trainer for the International Institute of Restorative Practices. Brown also completed the QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Program. Brown is a native of Clearwater, Fla. In his spare time, he enjoys every minute with his grandsons Josiah and Grayson, listening to all genres of music, exercising, and traveling with friends and family.

Terry Lantz

Terry Lantz became an assistant coach for the North Carolina A&T football program under head coach Rod Broadway in January of 2017. Lantz spent one season under Broadway before Sam Washington was promoted from defensive coordinator to head coach in 2018. Lantz, who has been an assistant at Wofford, Ball State and Elon, serves as the Aggies outside linebacker coach. Lantz will also have a role in scouting opponents, recruiting and player development. He has enjoyed more than 25 years of collegiate coaching experience. Lantz comes to N.C. A&T after spending three seasons (2014-16) at nearby Elon. Last season, the Phoenix ranked 33rd nationally in passing yards allowed and 53rd in passes in intercepted (11) nationally. In 2015, Lantz's unit was responsible for eight of the team's 10 interceptions. The group also forced six fumbles in 2015. In Elon's first season as a member of CAA Football, Lantz's unit produced one all-league honoree – Chris Blair. Lantz spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons as the safeties coach at Ball State where he coached that program's all-time interceptions leader to the 2011 All-MAC accolades. During the 2000-10 seasons at Wofford, Lantz tutored the secondary. His Terrier unit ranked first in the Southern Conference in pass defense, pass efficiency defense and total defense in 2010. In his time at Wofford, Lantz coached a first-team All-American as well as the 2003 and 2004 SoCon Defensive Player of the Year. In that span, Wofford claimed three SoCon titles. Lantz got his start in collegiate coaching as a student assistant at the University of Louisville in 1990, helping the Cardinals to a 34-7 victory over Alabama in the Fiesta Bowl. He has served as a graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee (1991) where he helped the Volunteers to a Fiesta Bowl berth. Lantz has also made coaching stops at the University of Louisiana-Monroe (graduate assistant), the University of Massachusetts, VMI, Glenville State College and Liberty University. A 1991 graduate of Louisville where he was a four-year letterman as a defensive back, Lantz earned his bachelor's degree in 1991 and later received his master's degree from Louisiana-Monroe. Lantz and his wife Meredith have two children – Adam and Olivia.

Mike Jones, Jr.

Mike Jones Jr. is the Linebackers Coach at Morehouse College. A former linebacker at Clemson and LSU, Jones was a team captain at LSU and helped lead the Tigers to the 2022 SEC Championship. Following his collegiate career, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent before transitioning into coaching. Jones began his coaching career as a Defensive Analyst at LSU and joined the Morehouse staff in 2026.

Freddie Brown, Jr.

Freddie Brown Jr. will serve Morehouse College as Offensive Coordinator. Coach Brown began his coaching career at his Alma mater Wofford College in the spring of 1999-2005 coaching Running Backs and Special Teams. As a player Brown was a four year starter at Running Back for the Terriers from 1987-1991. During that time Brown helped the Terriers to the schools first NCAA Division II Playoff selection, and top 20 national ranking in 1990. A well traveled and experienced coach, Brown has coached or played in most modern offensive systems. coach Brown joins the Maroon Tigers after two separate stints with CIAA Champion and Div II playoffs selection Johnson C Smith University. Coach Brown served as an assistant coach for the Golden Bulls and special teams coach. During his time at Johnson C Smith he produced two All CIAA Running Backs (Jacob Newman, Bobby T Smith). Both were also named Freshmen of the year and to the all Freshmen team. Brown had similar success at Wofford where he coached the Southern Conference Player of the year RB Jesse Mcoy, Kevious Johnson (Wofford Hall of Fame), Dane Romero (Wofford Hall of Fame)and JR McNair (Wofford Hall of Fame). In 2001 Brown through the Bill Walsh coaching Fellowship was selected to coach at the Carolina Panthers where he worked in the West Coast offense as a RB coach. Brown was a high school Head Coach at Spartanburg High School (SC) and Woodruff (SC) where his teams always competed for a state title by earning a playoff birth every season. Coach Brown is an Army veteran where he served as a commissioned officer after completing ROTC at Wofford College. Coach Brown has two sons Freddie Brown III (University of South Carolina,Liberty) and Treylen Brown (Jacksonville State, Pittsburgh Steelers). Malik Hoskins

A native of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Coach Hoskins graduated from Philadelphia High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Hoskins brings 28 years of coaching experience to the program, including collegiate and professional stops in the United States and abroad. Most recently, he coached professionally in the European League of Football with the Milano Seamen in Milan, Italy, where he served as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Prior to his time in Europe, Hoskins was the head coach of America Locomotiva in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Before spending three years coaching overseas, Hoskins built an extensive career in college football. In 2022, he served as the wide receivers coach at Campbell University. From 2017 to 2021, he coached at Lincoln University in Missouri, including serving as head coach from 2019 to 2021. Prior to Lincoln, Hoskins spent several years on staff at Lane College in multiple roles, with the majority of his tenure spent as offensive coordinator. Throughout his career, Hoskins has mentored and developed several players who have gone on to play professional football. His passion for the game is reflected in his commitment, work ethic, and dedication to helping student-athletes grow on and off the field. His coaching philosophy is rooted in Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Hoskins has one daughter, Alexia, who is his pride and joy.
