Marilyn Gregory

Gregory has been the Mens & Womens Cross Country Coach at Mount Aloysius since the programs inception in 2003. Since then, both teams have been highly competitive each fall in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of competitive experience to the sport. Her coaching philosophy includes individualized training programs, educating runners about proper nutrition and hydration, and injury prevention to help make running a lifetime competitive or recreational sport. Coach Gregory is a native of Butler, PA and graduate of Butler High School where she was a standout middle distance runner. She is also a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a BS in Exercise Science, and has a MED in Educational Leadership from St. Francis University. Gregory was a member of Slippery Rocks Division II Track & Field and Cross Country teams while in college. She was a record holder in the 4 X 400 relay, received All Conference in Track, and earned a third-place finish in the PSAC in the 400 meters. Gregory was also a member of the 1995 NCAA East Regional Cross Country Championship Team, and a member of Slippery Rock's seventh-place finish in the NCAA Division II National Championships. Gregory still trains for competitive races, as she was the 2015 Buffalo Half Marathon Masters Overall Winner. Additionally, she was a silver medalist in the 10,000 meters, bronze medalist in the 400 meters and came in fourth place in the 800 meters at the 2015 USA Track and Field Masters Outdoor Championships in Jacksonville, FL. Coach Gregory resides Twin Rocks, PA.
