Mount Mercy College Women's Golf

Williams has been a part of championship teams and successful individual tournament performances. With two different partners, Colin holds an Iowa Senior Four Ball Title (2002) and a Joe August Four Ball Championship (2011). He was a four-time selection on the Iowa Tri-States Cup team, compiling a 14-8-2 won-lost record in those matches.  In the Cedar Rapids vs Iowa City Ryder and Senior Challenge Cup series, Colin compiled a 15-5-1 won-lost record. In addition to his years as a teacher, coach, and public school leader Williams also worked as a peak performance consultant, establishing his own business, PROformance Consulting. He has delivered keynote addresses and conducted programs for public and private organizations from coast to coast, including for the PGA of America at their national conventions. His audiences have included tour professionals and some of the top teaching pros in the country. Williams is also an adjunct instructor at Mount Mercy. Williams' volunteer work includes being a national rater for NAIA womens golf, two terms on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Golf Association, member of the IGAs Herman Sani Scholarship Committee, 12 years as executive director of the Greater Cedar Rapids Junior Golf Association and he was an organizing committee member for the Cedar Rapids Mens City Amateur Tournament for more than a decade. Williams earned a B.S.E. degree from Kansas State Teachers College (now Emporia State) in 1970 and his M.A. from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) in 1979. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Marion, Iowa, with their dog, Jo Jo. They have one son, a daughter-in-law and a grandchild, all of whom live in the Minneapolis area.
