Mount St. Mary College Men's Lacrosse

Seideman returns for his fifth year as the head coach of the men's lacrosse program for the 2016 season. He also serves as the department's NCAA Compliance Officer. In 2015, the Knights went 5-10 overall, and narrowly missed the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament with a 2-4 record. Multiple members of the mens lacrosse team were named to the Skyline Mens Lacrosse All-Conference Team for the first time in the programs history in 2015. Freshman Dylan De Meo was named the 2015 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, and was joined by sophomore Michael Capetola on the 2015 Skyline Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Second Team. In his first three seasons with the young program, Seideman guided the Knights to a record of 20-26.  The 2012 season saw the Mount record a five-win increase over the previous season, making the team the sixth-most improved squad in the country, and also the program's first-ever Skyline Conference victory.  The 2013 season was marked by continued improvement and the program's best-ever finish at 7-8, as well as a pair of Skyline wins (2-4). In 2014 the Knights accumulated a 6-9 record with Jake Robison becoming the second player in program history to earn All-Conference distinction. Seideman, a native of Barre, Vermont, brings a wealth of Division III experience to the Mounts mens lacrosse program.  For the past two years, Seideman has been the assistant coach at Gettysburg College, helping the Bullets to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament.  Gettysburg was 27-10 during Seidemans two years with the program and also spent time as the top ranked team in the country.   Before his time at Gettysburg, Seideman was an assistant coach at Ithaca College for two years as the Bombers went 31-5 and reached the 2008 NCAA Division III Final Four.  He was also on staff at SUNY Cortland for a Division III National Championship in 2006 and a Division III National Runner Up in 2007.  The Red Dragons were 33-9 overall during Seidemans two season with the program.  Seidemans career started at Vassar College, where he was the assistant coach for both mens lacrosse and womens soccer from 2004 to 2005.   As an undergraduate at Haverford College, Seideman was a four-year starter for the mens lacrosse team from 2000 to 2004.  A three-time team MVP, Seideman was twice named All-Centennial Conference.  He graduated with the school record in career scoring for a midfielder. Seideman graduated from Haverford in 2004 with a bachelors degree in English.  He also holds a masters degree in education, earned from Cornell University in 2011. Seideman currently resides in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. with his wife Melissa.

Justin Lorenzo is entering his third season as Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach in 2025–26. Lorenzo guided the Knights to a 5–9 overall record and a 3–4 mark in Skyline Conference play in 2025, coaching Luke Dombroski and Kenny Leen to All-Conference Second Team honors. Dombroski also earned ECAC All-Conference recognition after finishing second in Division III in caused turnovers per game. In 2024, Lorenzo led the Knights to a 4–9 overall and 3–4 conference record, producing First Team All-Conference honoree Kenny Leen and Second Team selection Joseph Angelillo. Lorenzo originally joined the Mount’s coaching staff during the 2022–23 academic year after a standout collegiate career as a goalie at Division II Franklin Pierce, where he ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in goals-against average, games played, minutes, saves, and save percentage. Before arriving at the Mount, he coached at Goshen High School, with O2 Lacrosse, and Hudson Valley Express, and contributed to community initiatives, including food drives and USA Lacrosse grant work. A 2021 Franklin Pierce graduate with a B.A. in History, he resides in Campbell Hall, N.Y.

Ruppert as the men's lacrosse team's new assistant coach and defensive coordinator for the 2015 campaign.   "I am ecstatic to welcome Chuck Ruppert as an assistant coach on our staff," said Seideman. "With his Division I experience, he will be an invaluable resource to our student-athletes, and we are excited to see what he will do with our defense and goalies."   Ruppert joins the Knights' coaching staff after a successful four-year career as the goalkeeper at Division I Robert Morris University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in social science, and then his Master of Science degree in instructional leadership with a concentration in sport management.   "It's a great opportunity coaching here at Mount Saint Mary," said Ruppert. "I've dreamed of being a college coach since I was very young and this is a great place to start a career."   Ruppert has gained coaching experience over the past three seasons, working with all different levels of club and high school lacrosse. He also served as the head coach for the Robert Morris University club lacrosse team in 2013-14.   Ruppert owns the career wins record at Robert Morris with 24. He stands second all-time on the Robert Morris career record lists in both career saves (379) and saves per game (9.02). He also own fourth place on the record list with a .493 save percentage over his four seasons, and third with a 10.79 career goals against average.   As the Knights' defensive coordinator, Ruppert will be charged with guiding both the defense and goalkeepers.
