He succeeded Carl Robb and became only the second coach in Neosho Baseball history. During his 40 year stint, the Panthers have won 1231 games,Jayhawk Conference Championships in 1994, 2003, 2006 and 2016 and Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division Sub-Regional Championships in 1999, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, & 2016. The Panthers set a school record with 51 wins in 2016.The Panthers also won Region VI Champions in 2003, 2012, and 2013, qualifying for the World Series all three years. They were also Regional Runner-up in 1999, 2001, and 2017. The Panthers also finished third in 2006 & 2016. As a player, Murry had many accomplishments that included: * Three time Academic All-American * Two time All-American * Three time All-Region or District * Three time All-Conference As a coach, his accomplishments include: * Built beautiful Hudson Field on campus * A near 100% graduation rate from his players * Selected as "Instructor of the Year" at NCCC for the 1999-2000 school year. * 2009 recipient of NISOD Award of Excellence for Faculty * Named Jayhawk Conference Coach of the Year in 2002,2005, & 2016 * Region VI Champions in 2003, 2012 & 2013 * World Series Qualifier in 2003, 2012 & 2013 * Central District "Coach of the Year" in 2003, 2012 & 2013 * Won his 500th game on Apr. 13, 2004 vs. KCK * Won his 750th game on February 15, 2012 vs. Ottawa University * Won his 1000th game against Labette on April 27, 2017 * 2013 Junior College World Series "Homa Thomas" Sportsmanship Award Recipient * 59 Players drafted or signed to play professional baseball * 3 time winner of Jayhawk Coach of the Year * 2015 Chanute Chamber of Commerce "Educator of the Year" * 19-20 season canceled due to Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic * Earned 1200th win in the 2024 season * NJCAA Legacy Award Winner 2025 * Inducted into NJCAA Coaches Hall of Fame in 2026 Besides his coaching duties, Murry also serves as a Physical Education instructor. Murry and his lovely wife Kim of over 40 years are the proud parents of Zack who played in the Colorado Rockies organization and is married to his grade school sweetheart, the former Jory Wire. They are the proud parents of the Coach's first granddaughter Sutton, and grandsons, Mitt and Quinn. Murry also has one daughter, Mallori. Mallori graduated from Neosho in 2009, Pittsburg State University in 2012, and WSU Physician Assistant Program in 2017. Mallori and her husband Brandon, are the proud parents of Berkley, Elise, and Gunner.

Gage Delimont
Head Coach
Gage Delimont enters his first season as Head Coach of the Neosho County Community College Men's Basketball program after serving as an assistant coach during the 2025-26 season. In his lone season as an assistant with the Panthers, Delimont helped guide the program to a 16-16 record, a semifinal appearance in the Region VI Tournament, and coached two student-athletes to All-Conference honors. Prior to Neosho County, Delimont spent two years at NCAA Division II Newman University. He began as a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, overseeing athletic performance programs for men's and women's basketball, men's wrestling, and men's and women's golf. He later transitioned into a Graduate Assistant Basketball Coach role, where he helped coach an All-MIAA performer and contributed to the program's first top-10 conference finish in several years. During his time at Newman, Delimont earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA). A native of Chadron State College basketball, Delimont was a four-year member of the Eagles men's basketball program while earning his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. He graduated with honors in 2023.

Dawson Ashmore

Coach Ashmore is in his fourth season as an Assistant Coach for the Neosho County Baseball team. Ashmore hails from Chanute,KS and was a 2020 graduate from Altoona Midway High School. After graduation he attended college up the road at Allen Community College where he played baseball his freshman year, and during the 2022 season had the opportunity to be a student assistant coach. Ashmore is the son of Darrin and Laura Ashmore and has a brother Jackson Ashmore who is student at Wichita State.

Michael Martin
Assistant Coach
A Wichita, Kansas, native and former standout at Coffeyville Community College, Coach Martin brings a deep understanding of the Kansas Jayhawk Conference and a player-first mindset to the sidelines. His journey from JUCO athlete to international pro and elite skills trainer makes him a powerful addition to our program and culture. Martin's basketball career spans continents, having played professionally in Denmark, Kosovo, Albania, and Bosnia from 2016 to 2023. While overseas, he developed a reputation as both a fierce competitor and a selfless teammate. He also coached and trained athletes ages 15–25, honing their skills in shooting, ball handling, and game IQ, while helping them grow as leaders. His work developing young talent abroad has sharpened his ability to communicate, teach, and elevate athletes at every level.
