Groenveld is also the Assistant Coach for Team Ontario and Team Canada Senior Men's Volleyball team.  In his fifth-year as head coach, Groenveld led the Knights to the first CCAA medal in program history.  His 6-1 record during 2014-15 , helped Niagara capture their first OCAA gold medal in 14 years; followed by a bronze medal at the CCAA national championships. The 2014-15 men's volleyball program became the first team sport to medal at the CCAA national championships in school history.   "to create an environment for student-athletes to maximize both their on court and academic potential.
