Greg Clifton
Head Coach
Greg Clifton is entering his seventh season as the head baseball coach at North Carolina Wesleyan, having taken the helm in June 2018. Since his arrival, Clifton has revitalized the Bishops' baseball program, guiding the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances, two USA South Conference Championships—and hosting an NCAA Regional at Bauer Field for the first time in seventeen years. Under his leadership, the program has produced multiple First-Team All-Americans, including the 2024 NCAA Division III Region VI Player of the Year. Prior to Wesleyan, Clifton enjoyed a successful seven-year tenure as the head coach at Faith Christian School (FCS) in Rocky Mount, NC, from 2012 to 2018. At FCS, he compiled an impressive 133-36 record, led the Patriots to five conference championships, and secured back-to-back NCIHSAA State Championships in 2017 and 2018. His tenure also included three State Championship appearances in 2012, 2013, and 2016. Beyond his coaching achievements, Clifton spearheaded significant improvements to Faith's baseball complex, transforming it into one of the premier facilities in the state. Clifton’s coaching experience spans over two decades, including roles as head coach for the North Carolina State Games, the Ironhorses Summer Showcase, and American Legion Post 38, as well as assistant coaching positions at Northern Nash and Bunn High Schools. He has had the privilege of mentoring numerous players who have gone on to excel at the collegiate level. Off the field, the Roanoke Rapids native is the owner and vice president of Cenplex Building Services, a company he has led since 2003. Clifton oversees operations for 650 employees across 60 sites in North Carolina. Greg Clifton resides in Nashville, NC, with his wife, Donna.

Andrew Tubb
Assistant Coach
Andrew Tubb rejoined the North Carolina Wesleyan baseball program as pitching coach in 2025 following a standout playing career and a successful transition into coaching. Tubb returned to the Bishops' roster in 2024 after taking the 2023 season off, making an immediate impact on the mound. He went on to earn a spot on the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team while helping lead the program to postseason success. Over his collegiate career, he made 40 appearances with a 3.67 ERA, 23 wins, and 148 strikeouts across 196.1 innings. His honors include USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Year (2018), Second Team All-Conference, and All-State Team recognition, along with serving as a team captain in 2021, 2022, and 2024. After completing his playing career, Tubb spent the 2024–25 season as pitching coach at Calhoun Community College in Alabama, where he oversaw player development, recruiting, and in-game strategy for the pitching staff. He also previously served as a pitching instructor at the Florida Baseball Armory, working with athletes from high school to the professional ranks. A native of Valrico, Florida, Tubb earned both a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in strategic leadership from N.C. Wesleyan. Head Coach Greg Clifton on Tubb: “Bringing Andrew back to our program is a tremendous addition for our players and staff. His knowledge of pitching, ability to connect with our guys, and understanding of what it means to be a Bishop make him the perfect fit to lead our pitching staff.”
